Besides the obvious reasons stated in other threads the reason i see Skipworth being delisted is because Ladhams cant as he is still contracted for another year and unless he is traded i imagine Skipworth will lose his spot on the list!

Gallagher is the most likely to be delisted of the three...

crows98 said:Agree, for the club to become a legitimate premiership contender all 3 must go as they are too small and not generally up to the standard being set by the top AFL on ballers, but like you said can not see it happening
What he saiddyertribe said:Brett Burton is our Matthew Pavlich.
He is far more valuable as a forward - as Stiffy and I are always so quick to point out, he booted 52 goals while played for substantial periods from full-forward in 2002 - but because of his exceptional aerobic capacity he is almost always deployed as a midfielder/loose-man flanker, despite the fact his disposal is rubbish and his greatest asset is his marking and goalkicking ability.
People say that Birdman's ability to run all day means he'd be wasted as a permanent forward, but I'd rather see him boot upwards of 50 goals a season and give us another focal point up forward rather than be treated to episode after episode of Aerobics Birdman Style...

Stiffy_18 said:Ladhams definetly won't be delisted. Stevo runs out of contract but we will give him until december to prove his fitness, if he can't we will delist him and pick up someone in the pre-season draft.
Gags is gone, Shirley will stay so it would appear that Skippy is the next one to go if in fact we down the path of delisting a lot of players.
Except that you are forgetting that we were running a player short this year as it is so really Skippy could be safe by your prediction of 4 ND picks and 1 PS pickmacca23 said:The big clean out might not be as big as first thought due to the retirement factor.
Smart, Carey and Burns makes 3, and Stevo will almost certainly make 4.
Gallagher is the gonest of gone gooses, but Parker will probably get an upgrade, so that still leaves it at 4.
You'd think, ignoring trades, it has to be at least 5 - with 4 in the national draft and 1 in the pre-season.
On that basis Skippy would have to be a dead duck.

Also, assuming Stinger wants to head home, that is probably going to give us another pick rather than a player swap.macca23 said:The big clean out might not be as big as first thought due to the retirement factor.

Gags has been given ample opportunities over the years, but has lacked consistency. Also, he is a completely different build/player to Williams who was built like a tank & could also play a bit!CrowBoi said:I definitely don't share everyone's sentiments on Gallagher... he was misused by Ayres...
On top of this, you guys have really got a bad case of "small is bad" syndrome. Small onballers are not always a bad thing... IMO Gags has the same build as Greg Williams, and has a tonne of potential that Ayres was too afraid to unleash...
Stood next to James in person? He's not tiny...Kane McGoodwin said:Gags has been given ample opportunities over the years, but has lacked consistency. Also, he is a completely different build/player to Williams who was built like a tank & could also play a bit!
If this years talent pool is anywhere near as bad as we are hearing then keeping Skippy is a no brainer.macca23 said:
What do people think?? Skippy or a 5th round draft pick?
