Noticed it was switched on today, press the red button and everything is available at your fingertips - odds, results, tips, form AND the ability to bet through the remote control if your phone line is connected to the Foxtel set top box.

What do people reckon? Anyone used it to bet with yet?

We've got it here in NZ.

It's OK if you just want to have a Win/Place. It is quite slow to dial up, put your codes in, and bet. I imagine it would be faster in Oz.

I used it a couple of times but I stopped betting with the NZ TAB so I just log onto IASbet using my laptop. It's much faster.

Just another money making gimmick from Foxtel and your phone provider. It's a bit like voting on Sky News active. Press red to cast your vote and we will rape you 55c per vote. What a w@nk!!!

I haven't read the fine details but I presume that for every bet you need to dial up. ie. 20 bets on a Saturday approx $7-10 in calls.

Give me wireless laptop anyday, especially when the business pays for it

If that is right then it sounds like the old ValueBet Sky had there for a while. Some people were making a lot of money there but it wasnt the punters
