This annoys me. I have done it a couple of times as well, accidently hitting a guard,or whoever is helping you on a quest, and then they attack you.
Does anyone know if there is a yield button like there was in Oblivion? If there is, I can't seem to find it.

There is, you just put away your weapon and they may stop. The problem with my situation was that they then attempted an arrest, which obviously I wasn't in the mood for, with the dragon and everything, so they then continued to attack me. The only time they haven't accepted my yield at all is when I attacked a chicken.

I ventured into solitude, walk in and see someone being executed. Welcome to solitude! Its the biggest city I've been in so far and it was a big walk from the first main city.

I went to Solitude and didn't see the execution, don't know why? Still didn't stop everyone from saying, 'hey I saw you at the execution'.

yeah I accidently used my dragon shout (R2) instead of sprint (L2) resulting in attacking a guard...I just reloaded with the lastest auto save. It auto saves after any mission or when you enter a town or store.

Now I never walk in towns with my weapons drawn...and watch out with the shout button

Twice sheathing my weapon has worked for me. Once with guards (still got the $40 bounty) and once with a horse

PS3 users, how is this game bug wise?

After the last couple of Fallouts and freezing problems is this game having the same issues or is it running fairly smoothly?

Having played them all I think this is an improvement on New Vegas. Not completely smooth at times it will get glitchy but it clears up.

For how big this game is the glitches will always be there. Patches will fix most issues.

Some people having worse times then others. I've played for about 30hrs without it freezing once.

I agree. Going smoother than NV did for me. I've frozen once, but apart from that I haven't had many problems.

On a different note, what weapon is everyone using? For ages I was using a steel weapon, because it was better than everything I found. Just got the Mace of Molog Bal though, which is a Daedric weapon.

Cheers for that, Very keen on this but was wary after NV. Will most likely get it tonight now :thumbsu:

I'm using some sword I got from a daedric god quest. It has a glowing ball on the hilt that ****s up the undead and has fire damage attached. Looks cool.

Have had 2 of the crashes to desktop someone mentioned earlier in the thread, nothing huge but leaves you feeling a bit sad. Hopefully patched soon.

I also found out how to hot key stuff to your number bars (dont judge i have the steam version so no manual).

For those that also have the steam version- Open up your favourites menu, hover over an item/spell/shout and press a number key, it will then come up with that key next to it.

I.e
Whirlwind Sprint
(becomes)
4. Whirlwind Sprint

Then when in game just press 4 to immediately switch to Whirlwind sprint on the fly. If you choose a 1her or Spell it will apply it to one hand first, then on a second push the other hand, and will alternate what hand each thing is put in.

I have heal hotkeyed to 1 so when im in trouble I hit 1, 1, Mouse1+Mouse2.

I have only had a glitch where the environment started flashing bright blue...I just saved and reloaded the game and it was sorted.

no freeze yet...but I save on a regular basis if walking about as you dont get a autosave...everytime you enter a town it autosaves so at least if it freezes you can reload

anyone beat that albino yedi looking creature on the way up the mountain towards the greybeards? He completely destroyed me, and I had to do the sneeky and climb the nearby hill to get around him like a little pussy

sounds good...I managed to find a daedric sword forsale, but no magic bonus. Where did you do this mission?

Without being at home so I'm guessing here. Top left on the map closer to the city which is where the king died....To the left on that.

A daedric shrine. Good mission too.

I will post the exact location later.

If you are interested, there is another Daedric lord mission in Markarth. Go to the abandoned house, and a man will be standing out the front, asking people if they have seen anyone go in. Follow on from there, finish the quest, and you will get a Daedric weapon.
It's not as good as the one pk has said, but looks cool, and does it's fair share of damage. Also has a soul trap spell attached to it. Does 31% (or points) damage to magicka and health, IIRC.

thanks guys...both areas I havent explored. In fact I have been so busy doing companion quests I havent been many places other then around riverwood, whiterun, and the Throat of the world to see the grey beards.

has anyone converted into a werewolf in the companion missions yet? Interested to know how it is going. I might do it as there is a cure, and then you cant be turned into a vampire

Yes, and it is awesome. Run super fast, looks awesome, can't get any diseases, super strong.
Only downside is you are weak against silver weapons, but who gives a shit about that? Only that one group, The Silver Hand, or whatever have them :p. Possibly more, but I haven't encountered any yet.

I have gotten out of a few sticky situations by going into my werewolf form.

I believe the city is Solitude. Should be too the left of it in the mountains. Just look for the marking on your minimap. Go west from Solitude.

Hope I have remembered correctly.

sounds good...cant wait to be a wolf. My character is "King Leonidas: (aka 300) and he already looks mean as a cut snake...it will be awesome to completely unleash the fury!!!

I did read that you cant carry or pick up stuff while a wolf...is it easy to revert back to human so you can pillage after a mass kill?

You just have to wait until it wears off. Doesn't take too long really. Just make sure you don't feed on the corpses of any enemies, because you will stay in wolf form longer. So just stand around and wait until you turn human again if you want to loot something.

awesome...I will go up to the mountain on the path to the greybeards and take care of that Frost Troll that kicked my arse...he is going to get a good old fashion beating Wolfman style!

Fixed that up for you :p

anyone using magic (dark elfs etc...)? I have a warrior with a huge focus on leveling up archery and one-hand combat... interested in knowing how strong the magic gets and how quick it takes for it to be super effective

I do all 3 - 1 handed, destruction magic and archery. Magic and 1 handed are higher than archery though. Magic gets very strong, and is very good against a lot of opponents. Very good to use.
