I have a magic question.

I use destruction magic and it is about level 52 but my normal fire and shock and ice blast only does like 8 damage. Can I upgrade these to do more damage?


Also can you buy shops in this game? If so where? I have all this gold and nothing to do with it.

Perks for destruction include this. Either frost fire or shock (can get all but they're separate)
The perks are levelled, first one says "fire damage increases 25%" or something, then the same star thing has an extra level for the same perk, goes to 50% or something. So the damage goes up and I think it may use less magicka?

As for the marriage, every woman has the same effect. If you move into your own house you get profit from a store she apparently runs, if you move in with her I think you don't get the profit option.

Now level 23, clearing my "misc" quests because the list was ridiculous!
50000 plus gold, 5 dragon shouts, bards/dark/companions/thieves all joined but none completed yet. Loving the game, dragons getting quite easy now. Loot getting very powerful!

Can someone please give me the low-down on refilling weapons that use magic?

How do I refill them? I have some empty soul gems and some full. Also, how do I fill up soul gems? I recently learnt Soul Trap.

To recharge your weapons, you just have to highlight the weapon in your menu, and down the bottom it will say what button to push to recharge. On PS3 it is R2, IIRC. But you are on PC, arent you? But anyway, it will say down the bottom. Then select a soul gem that has a soul in it, and your weapon will recharge.

To fill soul gems, use soul trap on the target. Then kill them within the specified time limit to capture the soul. The soul will then go into an empty soul gem (as long as it fits).

On a similar note, has anyone finished the Azura's star quest? Im up to the very last part, but the guy who you have to fight summons dremora who are bloody tough, along with him, I nearly instantly die. Level 28, and still struggling massively.

Yeah I've done that quest, around the same level. All I did was kill the guy inside the star and then ran from the other daedra. She 'beams' you out when you kill the main guy. But now I can make daedra armour I wish I killed the others first, I need their hearts.

And on PC, to regenerate magic to a weapon, just highlight it, then press T and then just select the soul gem.

Did it at like level 7, have had the star sitting in my bag since with no idea how to use it in regard to soul trapping etc.

Ignore the ads, and kill the guy, soon as he dies if you have a ward spell channel it until your friend pulls you out.

BTW, with your Star, did you take it to the girl at Azura's shrine, or the guy in whatever town it was? If you took it to the guy, you can only capture the souls of black souls. which is people, not animals or anything.
If you took it to the girl, you can only catch white souls, which is animals, etc.
Just use soul trap as normal and it should start to fill. If you have other soul gems in your bag the souls may start to fill them first though, but im not sure.

Such an addictive game, like FO3 for me the first time I played.

That made me feel like a beast. About 1:30am game time, I managed to walk around with the guards, not pissing them off. I am trying to make a lot of money quickly, and found that I could break into the riverwood trader. However there were guards around the front door, within seconds I had climbed up the steps around the back and broke the Novice door lock and was in. I stole so much, and will now trade it all back to him!

PROFIT?!

EDIT: Forgot to mention, I was originally going to go buy an axe to start chopping wood for money. :L

Was heading South East to Riften, keep encountering a dragon fighting 2 giants. The two giants kill the dragon in a few hits and then proceed to attack me. Anyone got any tips on fighting giants?

I conjured a flame atronarch, did decent damage in itself and also caused a distraction enough for me to dragon shout/fireball/arrow. Then hide behind the pillar and use heal magic or wait for your magicka to regenerate.
