have not looked into it, if it is so, until i see it as fact i have him here. briztoon can you provide any clarity?
There might have been a rumour on the Lions boards he might be choosing cricket over football.

I didn’t see anything of him this year in the QAFL this year.

Tom Brown stands out for me, good spring in his jumping and agility.

He just missed out on the top 10 for the yo-yo test aswel, very well rounded athlete and great kid to boot.

Just need yours and we're close to a full deck.
Someone's gotta drop the overall quality 😂

I'm pretty focused on the girls side of things atm, so might be delayed until May on my draft board

briztoon - maybe Noah McFadyen IS lost to cricket unless you know of anything different? i see he played on the weekend, faced 127 balls for 15 runs then took 2 for 46 bowling. Maybe come back to footy Noah.🤞

Last I heard anything was 12 months ago.

Opinion of one of our academy watchers is good kid at U18 level, but lacks the athleticism to make it AFL level.

Very little comes out of our club about anything. Especially about the reserves and academy.

We know at least 8 or 9 academy kids played in the recent reserves game against Gold Coast, just by counting the number of senior players who weren’t in the team. But who the kids were, no one has any idea.

must be frustrating, especially if you are keen to invest in and learn about what the future holds for the club and the direction of young kids in the area.

Mhhhmm.

The club has implemented a closed shop, no information gets out policy. Hard to do in such an organisation and small industry as the AFL, but there’s not much information getting interested fans.

Thoughts on Lewis Rayson? Plays like?

Thoughts on Lewis Rayson? Plays like?
I am going to update the list when i get time tomorrow with heights, weights and a little spiel on each.
But Lewis is a little bit like Caleb Daniel style of play and Liam Baker. Yes, yes, Caleb is a star and gets plenty of ball, but im talking about style of play. Defends well, Lewis could improve his two way running, but similar to Caleb he runs to the right spots to be used in links of play and can deliver the ball well. In the comparison to Liam Baker, he can straight line the ball and handball effectively or use the foot to deliver out of congestion. I hope he gets more of a go in the middle this year and up forward to show his wares and be a multi-positional player. Very efficient user and dependable.

I don't think not having a first round pick will bother anyone too much at the pies if Nick will be as good as I saw him in that vfl game. I'll be checking out his nab league games soon enough.

Did you see him play?

No unfortunately but a family member of mine was there (who is a development coach at another club) who was impressed to say the least. Pies recruiters knew he would be a first round pick equivalent hence their positioning in the draft last year and set up for this year

Yeah, I was there and I didn't know what I was gonna expect. Played at half back, but geez, seeing him move and the way he used to ball. There was a lot of us that went like... wtf? My hand was in my mouth at times haha. I saw two recruiters (You can tell by their backpacks) Freo and essendon that were talking about him.
Played against men like it was no sweat. So I'm looking forward to what he can do in the upcoming season + his VFL games he'll play during the Nab League break.

He's so much more physically developed at 18 than Josh was.
