If you're still hitting the prison with all the live ammunition training youse do maybe it's time to pack it in. The training clearly isn't helping.
Technically we aren't aiming at the Prison itself, just at the rookies within.

To keep it a little sporting, we allow them a choice of weapons and/or armour to protect themselves and sometimes the missiles deflect into the walls before detonation.

Not so much careless as collateral damage.

So another 5 weeks has passed and I thought I’d take another snapshot of posting numbers to compare and see if there’s any changes happening?

Bombers - were #1 - 596 / now #1 - 578
OOBs - were #3 - 379 / now #2 - 426
Bears - were #5 - 329 / now #3 - 423
Demons - were #2 - 449 / now #4 - 417
Royals - were #9 - 218 / now #5 - 409
Warriors - were #4 - 327 / now #6 - 338
Gumbies - were #7 - 230 / now #7 - 253
Dragons - were #8 - 218 / now #8 - 223
Swamprats - were #10 - 145 / now #9 - 214
Wonders - were #6 - 232 / now #10 - 193
Roys - were #11 - 136 / now #11 - 158
Hawks - were #13 - 90 / now #12 - 134
Furies - were #12 - 134 / now #13 - 122

Most clubs keeping a consistent course.

Royals the big risers! Wonders the main sliders, but not by much.

Overall a substantial pickup across the league in activity, with 9 teams improving their average posting numbers.

Have at it.

And people said that the Swamprats were the problem here...9th is better than 13th.

Good to see there's been improvement at Sin City at the moment but it's clear the opponent plays a part in how active teams are

Fair to say that sometimes old rivalries are merely old habits refusing to die - artefacts of a bygone era.

Doesn’t take much to revise the narrative and update the approach.

Seen quite a few teams willing to experiment this season.

Robertio comes back 5 weeks ago and suddenly the league is on the up, could this be due to The Robertio Effect, what do you think DemurePrincess?

Wonders posting numbers dropping off wouldn’t have any correlation with their home crowd attendance dropping off now would it Headless?

Can you please explain exactly what these numbers mean?

The only ladder we have any control over, nice work Bombers!

  • Average post counts/week for each team
  • No “gatecrashers” are included
  • Rounds 1-5 is compared with Rounds 6-10
  • Finally, teams are put in order from most posts down to least posts
  • It is understood that quantity does not necessarily mean quality
  • Also that some teams simply don’t want to post any more than they already do
  • Perhaps the most important question is the “health” of the league
  • Post counts are only one measure of that, the “poster” numbers are just as insightful (some teams rely heavily on a few, whereas others share the load better)

People using the posting stats! Oh my stars!!!

The health of a team list is not just about posting volume as has been discussed, it also critical to have player engagement e.g. players who actually post and not just a name on a squad list, to ensure a team stays valid and not just propped up by a few players.

Looking at squad list numbers and the percentage of players who have posted less than 10 times after 10 matches its obvious Hawks and Furies have a serious list engagement problem with over 60% of both sides with players not engaging in match threads. I note that in Kilroy ranking Hawks and Furies come out as bottom two in posting numbers as well. If you combine the Hawks and Furies active players (posted 10 or more times this season) you would have a solid squad of 20 players (keep 5 non active legacy players as well for a 25 squad list) which would instantly put them in the Demon, OOB, Warriors, Bears and Bombers level of team engagement.

Might be time for the East Side Furies and get rid of the Bye!

So sad to see my three former sides struggling so badly. Maybe I should go back and save all three simultaneously. I can merge the three and become the East Dragon Furies!
