You would think after Sunday's game and the footage of Nas on Thomas' shoulders in the evenings celebrations that he is staying at the Saints, however the lack of announcement and some of the socials make things interesting.

I don't think Port are any more chance than us particularly when one of his relatives play for the AFC.

it will be an interesting month or so.
They really are

From my understanding his background is Wanganeen by blood (his uncle is Gavin) and Milera by marriage (Terry Milera is his step father - who incidentally played for St Kilda)

He barely knows Wayne

He grew up with the Burgoynes and is best friends with Jase. Good friends with JHF as well

My lord Saints fans aren't going to be happy when they realise Adelaide has no intention of parting with gun players for the player we have courted
Don't go tagging me in shit from the Saints board over here. You don't court a top 5 player and expect to give up a packet of twisties. Now let me get back to the Saints board before I catch something.

It actually would be hilarious if the Tex thing forced Nas and his manager to contact us and from that developed a good rapport with him and then he picks us.

Would be the ultimate backfire from Port, spread a false story in the media that means Nas has to contact the rival cross town team to refute it, only to be convinced to then join them because of the interaction that only came about because Port want to dunk on their older brother

Like a few others, NWM was the player I wanted out of that draft and it would be a dream to be able to grab him. The way he danced around defenders at that age showed something special.

Realistically though, I think we are last of the 3 options for him, so not getting my hopes up.

See Jeremy Cameron deal for what to expect. You won't get players we have signed up long term and rate.

We are uniquely qualified to talk about how you get screwed when young uncontratced stars leave. Because it happened over and over again to us
They’re understandably passionate but having experienced it ourselves with Dangerfield, and many others, we are all well aware of how this goes down.

It sucks, and I hope for them he stays, but it’s just reality.

The players they would want from us - and likely Port - are contracted and would have no intention whatsoever of leaving.

Who in their right mind would want to leave the Crows if NAS was to join us? To be labelled by St Kilda supporters as the NAS replacement (see Dean Gore). No pressure there.

I'm actually surprised the dogs aren't throwing a bunch cash at Lever, so desperate for another defender, and Melbourne is a shit show
They’ve got pain jones thogh, very similar to lever and they keep dropping him.

In hindsight... but don't think Weagles realised how quickly their premiership window shut.
Richmond were helped by hardwick leaving. Made them start the clean out sooner, whereas Simpson held on to try and go round again and west coast kept on players and brought in kelly.

His mob are Kokatha which is the West Coast - of which the Milera's are a prominent family, to say he barely knows Wayne is a stretch although Wayne grew up in Adelaide his west coast ties are also very strong through family don't be suprised if this is a stronger pull than hanging out with Jase.

Timmy was also on our list many moons ago although this didn't quite work out.

I think he will stay with St.Kilda but the pull back to home and family will play a big part.

Both he and Wayne watched one of their nephews play a junior Footy game together last year.

His real dad is Eddie Sansbury who lives in the Northern suburbs.

I am pretty sure most of these guys grew up in Adelaide. Or least spent teenage years here on Footy scholarships and or playing SANFL.

The romantic notion of these guys living in the bush is a myth.

Gavin Wanganeen grew up in Salisbury North. Then Melbourne to play footy.

Why not the Sansbury name?

Weren’t Peatling and cumming well after all sides involved had finished before deciding? Or were they quick on the back of giants exit?
Yeah, but the point is that they left. If they haven't resigned after exit interviews, it's likely they're not staying at their existing club.
