In most cases after a home loss such as tonites, I would usually come home from the game, sit the missus (whoever she may be for the night) the cat (aptly named puss) & bubbles the budgie and pretty much hurl abuse at them, then follow that up with a heap of borbon...it's all usually non coherent and confusing for all involved.......BUT not tonite.

No, I actually saw some positives in tonites match and with my audience before me, I let them know, that:-

1) We should have been flogged by a shitload more goals then we did so percentage wise, it was a bonus.

2) Finally Des has actually realised just how good he really is.

3) Sandi has taken the next step

4) Mat Carr just doesn't cut it as a footballers arse.

5) Tarrant was a boo boo

6) And the most importantly.......Harves played the kiddies and with time ( short hopefully) they will produce the goods; They are the future and look like they will become a great asset.

but I also think a lot of us now realise now that some tinkering is required with the team to take us to premiership mode or contention or whatever you may wish to call it.
How much tinkering and to what extent I am uncertain... but theres no point getting excited and going off.
Lets see what Harvey and his crew come up with?

It's not like he closes his eyes and runs in with his arms flailing wildly, I think the midfielders at times struggle to get to where they are supposed to be. The opposition know that Sandi will probably win the tap and seem to do a better job of getting to it than our players a lot of the time.

How so? It's not his fault that Matt Carr, Michael Johnson, Tarrant, Schammer, Crowley and Peake can't get a kick.

LOL, I meant it more in that it finally may have dawned upon them that this is a stark reality and that they need to make changes in these areas.

When I watched Harve's this afternoon on the news, he really didn't seem very happy with Tarrant.

It's mostly all the other areas of his game that has impressed me.
He seems to have realised that just jumping and tapping a ball isn't the only role of a ruckman.
He is actually participating more in the game these days due to his ability to kick straight, handball, take a mark but mostly his general game play has improved noticebly.

Not sure what game you were watching surfsup, but the majority of Sandi's taps at least went in the direction of a Freo player. The problem is, not many of them have the ability to pick the ball up in one action, or the class to dispose of it to a teammate quickly, hence it gets turned over.

His marking has improved dramatically - he rarely drops a mark now, while it was a pretty regular thing previously. Once Warnock is back, I'd like to see him spend a bit more time resting up forward - if the ball is delivered to him correctly, there is little the opposition can legally do to prevent him from marking the ball.
