I don't think Sweynesse can win it either, Almalad is my pick of the 3yos for the Cox Plate

Yea nah for me, just a grinder IMO. Would need to lead the CP with 48kgs to be a chance and we both know that won't happen. Completely dismissing the win in Stutt last week, had absolutely everything made to suit, rubbish race for mine.

We will find out more about Almalad's CP credentials in the Guineas tomorrow.

Speaking about having everything run to suit last start in rubbish races...First Seal ;)

I think the point Paris and myself were making is that at 2000m we think she would be a chance in the Cox Plate, as compared to the males who run over a smiler distance of the same age.

It seems O'Shea thinks Sweynesse is a Cox Plate horse, will be interesting to see what First Seal does to a Cox Plate aspirant of the same age tomorrow over 2000m

Sweynesse will beat First Seal tomorrow.

Rich Enuff won at 1400m last start eased up on the line. He'll break their hearts in the straight tomorrow. He'll be a star sprinter of the future though.

No doubting he could be a future star sprinter, just think there will be some pressure tomorrow. If he can win at 1600m with pressure ill simply say too good. Got a feeling the last 100-50m will find him out.

She is the only 3yo I've seen so far that has any 'wow' factor about her.

The boy's have been taking a turns a bit too haven't they? Despite Jugada wanting 5 of them in the Cox Plate I'm not that excited by the male brigade.
No worries mate, I think the boys might have her measure but if she wins I hope she gaps them.

We might see something special from Rich Enuff though, fingers crossed :thumbsu:

No doubt. He had a lot against him last start and won so impressively. Makes his own luck as well up front. Almalad and co will be putting on the pressure rounding the turn but I just think Rich Enuffs acceleration will be the reason he wins. Looks Like The Cat will relish the 1600m. Can only see him or Almalad challenging for the win.

Not one for breeding but Lightenuff is tough as old boots, I just have a feeling that even if they get to him or he's not seeing it out, might be able to grind it out.

Hope First Seal is as good as you say too, can never have too many middle distance stars.

Shame, I'm on Shooting to Win and Chivalry. Cant see LLTC turning the tables on Rich Enuff, not buying the David Gately boom on him. Almalad, LLTC Queensland form not for me in Spring Group 1's. How anyone could favour Almalad over STW off their Golden Rose runs is beyond me.

Sweynesse vs First Seal reminds me a bit of IAD vs Proisir in the race a few years ago, hopefully it's a similar race
That's a little how I was feeling too. Lots were potting IAD big time despite never being to the trip he was bred to get, had similar 'holes' in his form as well.

I think we're on the same page thinking we want to see the filly against the boys first, can certainly win, just not going too early on the superstar call.

Not in Almalad's corner but he did look like a house in his first couple of runs.

I'd have a little saver on STW, just not sure he'll jump! Might be all over before it starts for him.

Dont mind if he doesn't TBH. Thats why i like him, even if he misses its not throw away ticket worthy, got a mile back in the Golden Rose and was coming as hard as anything late, even if he does jump and they go as hard as i think he won't be that close to the speed.

Should bode well for your other pick in Chivalry as well and potentially Kumaon...

It's the Bossy/Kav factor that annoys me with Chivalry, they always find a way to screw me over :drunk:

Yea, I'm probably completely wrong with my thinking and Rich Enuff will bolt in, meh, won't be the last time either.

Oliver is my 'biggest screw me' jockey whenever I'm on his nag ( have bet on Afleet Espirt and Not listen'tome tomorrow :drunk: ), cheating campaigner always rides like shit whenever I'm on.

Caulfield guineas - Rich Enuff has to be the pick and rightly so even though it hasnt run the 1600 before. For me i like Zululander at good odds for a place. I also like looks like a cat for a place/EW

Rich Enuff also carried an extra 2.5kg over look like a cat last, However LLIC came from a long way back and got severely hampered on the run home. Rich Enuff also ran one out without cover. I honestly dont think i can see anything beating RE, i think Almalad might be the only one.

Ill be throwing in some trifectas tomorrow that involve RE first place into LLIC/Zulu/STW for 2nd and 3rd.

Edit: I actually rate STW as a better horse than Almalad.

Looking forward for the trifectas. +1 to that Keystone.

Actually picking the CG the more i look at it looks really hard. I much go RE for the win.

Almalad - Fighter will be at the leader and be right up in come the end. STW, RE better horses.
RE - Enuff said, the class horse and should win, i hate backing things that have never got the distance before at 2's
STW - Better than Almalad, has improved on every run this spring, keeps getting better stormed home at the back in the golden rose behind some good horses went on to beat Scissor Kick in the next showing that continued improvement.
Zululand - Got buffetted and jumped poorly 2 back at flemington than went to MV and didnt like the bend, i think its at good odds but runs still suggest its a way off, still dont mind @11 for place.
Chivalry - Had to come from no where and wide in its last ran on very well, wont mind 1600 IMO, just needs to sit well midway. Ran very well 2 runs before that (not at MV) with 58kegs on the back.

Bloody tough one. Im just getting on RE for first money back 2nd and 3rd at sportsbet.

Id recommend Lux who doing the payout thing on first and second again this week up to $500.

Even with the enhanced odds on SB, you won't get a better deal than payed out for 2nd at $2+
