Horrible luck for connections of Ambivalent & early shoppers.
Made worse by the fact that her only hope of winning a Gp1 3200m race would be if it was down a well.
She was the only Euro I was interested in at Caulfield, rest look too dour for me.

I know the over odds curse all to well myself, sucks when you dont even see them run for the overs.

Cox Plate worthy since they may not even have a full field now? Geelong Cup? Rethink and MacKinnon instead of Melbourne Cup?

Shes not in Cox Plate & it seems the 100k for top ten is still tempting.
Mackinnon would be decent choice, shes certainly as good as Side Glance when on her game.

Was thinking the same. Although I am keen on LV, I just think that $4.50 is too short

Yeah I was thinking the exact same thing, pretty weak field, but from the looks of it no standouts and quite even....

What shambles that draw was as a spectacle.

From no one in the room having a clue what number they drew because of it being on a bottle top to every owner/trainer/connection walking off stage with their horses card rather than hanging it up on its appropriate barrier.

Dont ever do that again please.

Top Chances - Admire Rakti, Bande, Lucia Valentina
Good Chances - Seismos, Dear Demi, Lidari
Some Chance - The Offer, Stipulate, Rising Romance, Brambles (em)

Having said that it feels like it is extremely poor quality edition so I am finding it tougher to put the pen through many runners like I usually can. I'd say Gris Caro and Unchain My Heart definitely CAN'T win

He ran 4th (Dunaden 5th) beaten a length in a Japan Cup, which is also 2400m. Would have thought that is ok form for a Caulfield Cup.

Stays all day which will suit the MC but don't underestimate the fact their horses are a level above class wise.

Winners of the last 4 races he's been in are Fenomeno, Gold Ship, Orferve and Gentildonna. There are no such horses in this race.

Why were they saying it was a weak year for the Japan Cup? I know Gentildonna might not have been at her peak, but surely it's still too good for Aus races?
