This is a really shit effort considering who there is to choose from.

No Pedo is baffling.

Did Pedo play well in the VFL? Sounds like Delaney and Warren did well. Not sure about Mackenzie, but he might have done his job?

Anthony out no question. This is the sort of game he could rack up 35 downhillskiing possessions and guarantee himself a game for another 4 rounds.

I will quite possibly throw up if that happens. There are downhill skiers at other clubs who justify their spot in the team by damging th eopposition when they are given the ball ; Anthony's offensive game is so bland, we cannot justify his total lack of defensive effot.

I think the team looks better balanced with one ruckman (probably Goldstein) and a mobile back-up (like Pederson). The injury to Tarrant exposed the lack of flexibility in the side that was named against Essendon.

1) The kid is underdeveloped.
2) The kid hasn't done enough to warrant selection in the seniors.
3) If the coach is still pumping undeveloped kids in to the side after 3 years, then he must believe that we are further back than I thought.

I'd agree but it's GWS. I doubt he will be playing against Geelong unless he's exceptional.

Look at all the other blokes named in the VFL. We have everyone bar Ziebell and Curran available, yet this skinny guy has gone past 20 blokes already? Not enough players putting pressure on the incumbents. Very very disappointing.

I'm with you too, It is pretty insulting to players who have done so much more like Garlett, Greenwood, Speight and a few others running around in the VFL gathering 20 plus touches and all of a sudden this kid comes in and is getting selected.

I mean Garlett was an emergency last week, plays VFL gets 24 touches, 6 clearances, while also watching North on the sidelines get smashed at the stoppages and this week he can't even make the extended squad. WTF BS

I'm sure by virtue of current standing in the AFL that there are people who know better than me but if Anthony gets a game on last weeks effort then it's purely a numbers game. His defensive side is non existant and he doesn't offer enough going the other way.

Note the word 'maybe'.

Don't panic. He probably won't play.

You need to identify players that can take their skills to afl level. If you pick players purely based on vfl form myles sewell would be a top 10 pick.

They're playing a bunch of kids, they may as well test a few of ours out against them. The only drawback against that is GWS recruited a few snipers as has been shown.

Pederson was solid.

Levi did a lot of the grunt work with little reward. It's important to remember that the Werribee rucks were absolutely slaughtered.
