The Enright one isn't a squib at all. He just spills the mark, but there is no seeming attempt at self-preservation, he backs into the contest entirely until the ball has landed.

harsh on cotchin. EVERY player does that sort of stuff. Just over running the ball. Do we really need to bring more bryce gibbs moments out??

Have seen pendlebury do that a few times under the high ball. But the bloke goes ok with winning the hard ball otherwise.

It's round 16 2009 Sydney v Melbourne at Manuka.

It's early in the game, Jamie Bennell from Melbourne is running in the backline towards the Sydney goals to gather the pill. Barry Hall comes charging out of the square after the ball, I fair dinkum though Bennell's guts were going to drop out of his shorts.

I'd never noticed him or heard of him before.

I haven't forgotten his name since that weak effort. For the rest of the season when I happened to catch parts of a Melbourne game I made sure I watched out for him.

I'm sure there must be vision of it somewhere. I'd be pretty confident none of it would ever make it onto a most courageous highlights reel.
