Maybe when the AFL gets to twenty teams, the comp might split into two tiers, and so they'll be two premeirs each year, including one from the lower group of ten...share it round a bit?? Who knows.

If it ever gets to that level, I'd say we'd go to a "conference" system, not disimilar to the NFL, where 2 sides get "championships" each year, and then they both play off for it all in the Superbowl (Grand Final in our case).

As for the cry baby Stkilda supporter, I can't feel sympathy for him/her, simply because they would feel absolutely none for us in the same situation.

I hope their suffering goes on for another 44 years, after the embarrassment of a pre season they have had, which has dragged the AFL down into the NRL's class in terms of off field behavior.

normally I would have a semblance of sympathy for a fellow suffering football fan,but I have none for the guy who was allowed to troll Collingwood on the MB for years unchecked. Believe me if the aints won he would be out of control(with the "mods" turning a blind eye)

I have to agree with these guys. If the shoe was on the other foot do you really think people would feel sorry for us? No freakin way. And for those of you that do feel pity, just ask yourself which supporter group started the Pies GF drug rumour in a massive attempt to deflect their bad press.

AS far as fireman says he doubts he'll see a flag, let's just get some more flags now because they'll be much harder to win once the Suns & Giants ensconce themselves in the competition. 1 flag every 18 years is what the AFL has geared the competition to achieve.

This. If what i have heard, from pretty good authority, is true, the pic of Riewoldt and Dawson takes on a whole new meaning!! Shame everything's been suppressed by the courts, the money the journo's paid has been wasted now.

I don't know if this has ever been bought up or the right thread but whatever, it could be a fake but I have to spill it anyway. When the Luke Ball trade was being discussed with St.Kilda, apparently (like I said, could be crap), St.Kilda accepted our offer of Nathan Brown and pick 30.. but there was one person at the club who said basically "no, I don't want him, he's sh*t".

I give you one guess to name the culprit (OHHH THE IRONY)

The thing I don't get with St. Kilda is they have female members after all thats happened.
Remember that 2 players were given the all-clear to play after a female said she was r*ped by them. Nothing happened at the time, no sorry from the club, no support for the women and the players got away scott-free.
Then a 3rd player is said to have r*ped a woman.
Then a 17yo gets knocked up to a player and left to fend for herself.

How any female can say they support a club that treats females as bad as St. Kilda will always amazing me.

I know when we play them, I'll be making sure the females in my area know all about this club and what they think of them.

Man the Saints have had one heckuva bad 18 months.

That Ross Lyon 2009 post GF speech will go down in history. Just like "Round 27" from 2010. He's a very good coach, probably a good bloke around his mates with a beer, but by goodness, he can rub people up the wrong way.

For the Saints' sake, and for the sake of a few of their supporters who are rational, I hope that the pot plants rumour isn't true.

Because if it is we may have to resurrect the photo of Ross Lyon with egg on the face. I know we have it but let's wait until the facts come out before adding it to this thread.

Mind you, Ross talking about the "earn or learn" strategy while ignoring the AFL who have tried running a course for his players for the past 3 years sounds a bit like someone trying to get on the front page of the MX (which it duly did) rather than addressing the serious culture problem at his football club.

As for bringing the game into disrepute, well... all I'm sayin' is they're batting better than the West Coke Eagles.
