Watched the second half replay, and in the last quarter it was either Lyon or Dunstal who said we need to be challenged in order to really get going.

We were once again doing our thing of switching gears and getting on top - but the point being that we hold off on doing it until we really need to. And then we go bang.
Yeah I said a couple of times last night that it felt like we were managing the game and just doing enough until needed.

Expect we’ll see more of this now that we’ve all but qualified for finals already.

Yes we’ll want not only top 4 but ideally top 2. But mentally I expect they’ll coast a little more and lift as needed in games.

Will didn't have his best game but surely could be better suited playing deep forward and Bobby more half forward?

So I was stickybeaking over in another forum and some were complaining that McStay tripped NWM and is a fineable offence.
Did he?
I didn't see but didn't see all the game but will be watching replay later in the week.

It was an attempted tackle and Dan slipped if it's the same incident I'm thinking of. NVM got the free.

He didn't put his foot out to trip him, which would be different.

Anyone have annoying “Acer” pop up ads every 30 seconds.
How do I stop them?
Yeah this platform is dodgy as all hell. Ads often pop up when you’re about to change pages or hit a post reply button or something legit.

It’s not just the ads but the potential for nefarious links, Trojans and the like to be downloaded on to your device.

He tapped NWM’s foot and NWM went tumbling and got the free. It was definitely tripping, but looked to be on the low end of intent.

Wouldn’t be surprised either way if he gets fined or not.

Here’s a better idea …

… rather than WHE playing deep forward; why don’t we rest WHE and debut West as the deep forward instead?

Cue meltdown in 5 … 4 … 3 … 2 …

One of the most exciting things to come out of the St Kilda game was buried in the first quarter …

… Beau McCreery’s two sizzling clearances.

It’s a mighty shame that he got injured, but he’ll be back. And when he is, hopefully we have more of that great stoppage work to look forward to.

The treatment Nick gets and will continue to get is why it’s so fu*king important we get Jordy right

Because a fit and firing Jordy absolutely demands just as much attention as Nick. If not more.

Interesting posts on the St Kilda board:

Poster 1: Can we just release Windy for the rest of the year as a pure mid? No more tagging. What difference does it make. In fact let Steele tag and windy play as a primary mid.

Poster 2: Agreed. Windy could barely get involved on offense last night and the guy we stuck him on was BOG.

There is an insurrection brewing in the St Kilda fan base against the Lyon tagging policy. Clearly this proves that even among such a degraded level of mentality as in the St Kilda supporter base, there are some who can actually see reason.

when does the heat come from Lyon? they're 4th last and their next 2 games are against the Dockers away and Hawthorn.

While i despise Lyon, I hope he stays where he is (for the same reason that I wish all the best in coaching longevity to Voss at Carlscum).

Both of them are a curse for their respective clubs.

Yeah, his bursts out of the middle were Dayne Swan like. Gave me shudders down the spine.

Nick Daicos next week vs the hard tag:
Dont Try It Obi Wan GIF by Star Wars

Will WCE bother - have they been tagging?

Next time there is a hard tag though, Bruz will be back... I think he'll get some very short stints through the midfield. Then later JDG will be back too - also with some stints through the midfield.

Exactly.I thought the same thing when he won those two clearances. He could well be the answer to our centre clearance problem.

Ross Lyon would rightfully point out that St Kilda were level with the ladder leaders half way through the fourth quarter. His game day tactics can’t have been that far off the mark.

That was a good game to watch. A good hit out for the team. Even when it was close I didn't feel anxious. We had another gear. It was impressive watching us use it. A good game to shake off the cobwebs post bye and keep the team sharp.

I like our forward line. It's dynamic and runs deep. We don't have stars quite like other teams but there is a lot of talent there. Different playing qualities. Difficult to cover. We spread the load well.

They will be off the mark if the AFL finally decides to outlaw the bs that Lyon and his proxy Windhager were allowed to get away with.
