Fair enough Crowls and Dodd are the same and if it was true about his decisions and disposals he wouldn't be in the team.

crowley and dodd are nothing alike. crowley can go forward and kick a goal, crowley doesnt make rediculous decisions constantly, crowley doesnt give away stupid free kick after stupid free kick..... id be staggered if dodd played more than 5 games this year. if he does, then we either have been decimated by injuries (like last year, which is a big factor why dodd was continually played) or there are others in such bad form that even dodd would be a better option (hard for me to fathom)

As soon as Silvagni's promoted, Dodd won't be played.

How can he give away numerous free kicks when he averages less than 1 a game(20 last yr)?Dodds not meant to run forward to kick goals and if he is that bad why did they play him injured last year when there were other options?Schammer,Dodd,Crowley,Thorton I would rate as the same when it comes to disposal and decision making.

by consistently i meant consistently stupid free kicks. he is forever making the same mistakes. i have never understood why he constantly wrestles with players, or gets involved in argy bargy moments when all it does is 1. make him look like a ********, 2. draws the umpires attention to him and 3. inevitably ends up with him giving away a free kick...... another thing with dodd, is that he doesnt seem to have the brain to understand when to not give away a free kick, it could be a pivotal point in the game and you always see him wrestling or soing something just plain stupid..... i just think he is a dumb footballer, and he isnt talented enough to get by while making stupid mistakes.

dodd also makes numerous clangers with basic skills in dangerous areas. say what you like about schammer and crowley, but neither of those players make the clangers deep in defence that dodd does

schammer and crowley are much much better players than dodd could ever hope to be. crowley's skills arent THAT bad. he made a few blunders last year, but prior to that his efficiency was right up and he even kicked a few goals on top of keeping his player to nothing. and schammer is good at the clearances and goes in hard 100% of the time. both of these players have dodd well and truly covered

as for scotty, well thornton handpasses to people under pressure, he misses targets, dodd has him covered in 1 on 1 situations. but scotty has run, he can play as a forward to some effect as we saw last year. and more importantly scotty has discipline.... dodd has no discipline. dodd, thornton and murphy are vying for the three worst players on our list. i would say murphy would be the worst, with dodd next and then thornton..... if our team is to have any hope in the future though, really neither of these three should be involved. thats something im sure we can both agree on

Hang on a sec, how about we wait until we see this Silvagni play? There's obviously reasons as to why he was overlooked in the entire draft.

Crazy notion. Waiting until they play a game just exposes all those pesky imperfections. Best to rely on vfl highlight reels and intraclub games.

Not that time he kicked 3 meters to Mcpharlin against geelong.:p

well, we can laugh about it now. at the time i wasnt thrilled ;)
Yeah, But that was a good game for Palms, i thought he stood up well in that game.

Also another thing that Some laugh about is Pavs run of hitting the post.

I was joking at footy training the other night, because we were having a goal kicking comp for a bit of fun and i won, I said i won because i learned from Pav, and one of my friends said, wow, im surprised you didn't hit the post.

hmmm, forgive me for still not seeing the funny side of that yet. geelong, carlton, sydney and i think one other game he had the chance to either win the match or seal it and 4 times he hit that f.... post...... the geelong one was the one that hurt the most though...... still gets me upset

yeah. i fully believe that supporting our team is the hardest supporting job in the world, thats in professional sports i mean. but when we do win a flag, i have told work already that i will need 2 weeks off in which 1 week will be required to get of the previous weeks bender that i partook in :D
