1981 - Lake Oval (704 games from 1897) - Dennis Carroll in 1993 (SM, SY)
1973 - Glenferrie Oval (443 games from 1925) - Michael Tuck in 1991 (HW)

1964 - Punt Rd (544 games from 1908) - David Parkin in 1974 (HW)

It's possible a couple may not be correct as I have primarily based this on the last few games played at each ground.

Adam Goodes debuted in 1999 but only played Collingwood at the SCG that year. By 2000, Collingwood had moved to the MCG.

Robert Harvey did eventually play at Carrara but not against the Bears during 1987-1992.

For stats purposes, isn't Carrara still current, it just has a sponsors name now? Is there a reason for having an 'original' Carrara for statistic purposes? I've just combined it all as Carrara in any stats I keep. Should I not?

yeah, same ground. Don't get confused by what I did above.

Here are the list of all games played at Carrara: 1987-1992 then 2006-2009 then 2011-2018

In 2003, Goodes and Buckley were joint winners of the Brownlow (along with Ricciuto), despite both being voted BOG only twice in the season.

In comparison, the last three Brownlow medalists had 11 (Martin) and 9 (Dangerfield, Fyfe) BOG games.

Was there a significant difference in terms of games won between goodes and Buckley and Martin and Dangerfield?

Good question.

Goodes' Swans won 14 games while Buckley's Collingwood won 15. Dangerfield's Cats won 17 and Martin's Tigers won 15.

In recent times a 13 year time difference has produced mixed results for wooden spooners.

In 2002 Carlton were wooden spooners. 13 years later in 2015 they again finished as the wooden spooner.
In 2003 Western Bulldogs were wooden spooners. 13 years later in 2016 they won a premiership.
In 2004 Richmond were wooden spooners. 13 years later in 2017 they won a premiership.
In 2005 Carlton were wooden spooners. 13 years later in 2018 they again finished as the wooden spooner.
In 2006 Carlton were wooden spooners. 13 years later in 2019, what will they achieve?

Tim Taranto has kicked 0.1.1 in ten matches this year, including in each of his past three matches. I wonder where this stacks up in terms of the most 0.1.1 returns for a player in a single season.

Worst late season falls to miss finals:

2018 - Port Adelaide, 4th with 4 rounds to go
2002 - Geelong, 5th with 3 rounds to go
1994 - Richmond, 4th with 4 rounds to go
1966 - Richmond, 1st with 4 rounds to go (final 4)
1954 - Essendon, 2nd with 2 rounds to go (final 4)

Sydney will now play their 15th finals series in 16 years, meaning of course they have missed only one series during that time-frame. I was curious to see what each team's best streak was in this regard. I have not included GWS as they do not have a long enough history.

club | best sequence | seasons | season missed | premierships during this time

Brisbane can be given a 9 out of 10 streak from 1995 to 2004 if Brisbane Bears history is considered
Fitzroy actually played 9 consecutive finals series during their streak
Melbourne actually played 11 consecutive finals series during their streak
