Re: Post your stats questions here

The obvious question (well, obvious to me, anyhow): presuming Sean Dempster gets the nod this week, he will play his 5th grand final within his first 100 career games.

Has any player in VFL (I'd pretty safely say not AFL) history previously achieved that? (Maybe some Hawthorn players who came of age in the '83-'85 period, seem like the most recent contenders.)

I'll let the stats pros answer this better than I, but here are some:

Re: Post your stats questions here

Schneider has played in four AFL grand finals which have a combined margin of 17 points (4, 1, 12, 0). Is this the lowest of any four-grand final player ever, and what are the records for players who have played in more or less grand finals?

Re: Post your stats questions here

i'm sure this has been questioned and answered before but for the life of me i cannot find it anywhere.

What players have won the Brownlow, North Smith and a Premiership Medallion.

I came up with
Hird (96, 00, 00+93)
Black (02, 03, 01+02+03)
G. Williams (94, 95, 95)
Judd (04+10, 05, 06)

are these the only four players?

Re: Post your stats questions here

Buckley just might get one as a coach though!

But by then, Hird will have one as a player and a coach anyway :p

Re: Post your stats questions here

In terms of average age per player, how does the 2010 Collingwood premiership compare? I have looked back to 1985 and they seem to be the youngest, even younger than the Baby Bombers. Is this the youngest premiership team of all time?

Re: Post your stats questions here

Wanting to know how many grand finals in a row a team has failed to win?

eg. St Kilda is 0/5 since 1966, Collingwood went 0/9 during the Colliwobble period, etc

Re: Post your stats questions here

Answering my own question. St Kilda are developing their own Colliwobbles.

Re: Post your stats questions here

Given the AFL's change to the interchange bench for 2011, what is the precise history for how interchange and substitute players have been used?

Can someone put years to the changes below?

no interchange/subs,
to a 19th man sub,
to a 20th man sub,
to a 2 man interchange,
to a 3 man interchange,
to a 4 man interchange,
and now back to a 3 man interchange and 1 sub.

Re: Post your stats questions here

Quick Question:

Are kick-ins counted on your stats sheet as kicks?

If not, how can a mark be paid if the ball isn't officially kicked to you?

Pretty sure they're only counted if you play on. Don't know the answer to the second part.
