Not really “stealing” their wage, just being paid a relatively low amount to fill a very specific role (break glass in case of emergency).

You wouldn’t ever call a back up parachute a waste of money, yet you hope you never use it.

Yes, they would have. Part of the issue is that opposition teams are winning forward contests easily because the defenders, especially Haynes, are way too easily pushed aside. He rarely has body contact by the time the ball arrives and even if he does he’s forced off the ball.

Tom won the Dogs a Flag, worth it for sure.

Might be wrong on how much draftees make. Thought it ranged from mid 100's to as low as <100k
But anyway yeah, I'd hope third string ruckman and players 40-46 or whatever are paid <200k when only a handful of your best players are making only 5x as much

If I'm reading that right, for 2025 its 115k base for late draft picks, ranging up to 140k for the top 20 picks.
Plus 4k minimum match payment.
