Still no Rusling

Does't appear to be listed in the VFL team (again).

Does anyone know what the story is? Seems to have been listed as "test" for more than a month now. I'm not one of those that believe he's going to suddenly be a star in the seniors, but I obviously would like to see him back playing and he now seems to be running out of games to try and save his place on the list.

to be getting a game in the seniors, he should have been back a few weeks ago. Another year gone, maybe that really is it...?

a potential option for him IMO is to rookie him, he's 24 in a few months. That way we can bring in more youth, keep a known quantity in our grasp, take a bit of pressure off him

then could we elevate him ala Jarryd Blair mid season? or if he's right, post season

Unfortunately... I agree with you.

So talented - In full flight, on the lead and his converting, I was convinced he was going to be the non diving, non dic*head version of Llyod and Fevola.

The game is up.

If he is finished is there any reason to actually keep him on the list? Can we promote a rookie if he retires?

I'm sad to say that I agree, his body just hasn't allowed him to show his talent.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if he has pulled the pin.

So, assuming we'll let at least five go that'd now be Rusling, Corrie and Cook as virtual certainties, Cheesy to retire you'd think, with Frazer, Tarks and Presti facing possible retirements or trade requests. Can't see Francis getting elevated just not enough footy, so he'll be off the rookie list too.

Tom Davidson, Lee Walker etc - sadly there will always be tales of unfulfilled talent like Rus.

I want to congratulate Hine on picking him considering that he wasn't on anyone else's radar. And although Rusling is probably finished it would be good to keep him on the rookie list...that's if he wants to. He probably wants to pull the pin and move on.

What are you basing that statement on? He has or had speed and what else? Was not showing anything in the VFL, maybe a bit at full back but nothing up forward to say he is worth ANOTHER year on the list. Goldcoast bait for RUS.

what is going on .......... the injury list apart from being an absolute joke (sometimes), has been on the 1 - 2 week scenario for quite some time now but to no avail...... I want an answer, at least give us something, we know he trained the last 2 weeks..........so hopefully they are just being cautious and not over-cautious ....... come on collingwood is the kid a chance or is he finished ???? I hope the latter but struggling to keep the faith...

ROFL, the only time he went forward in the VFL is when he floated down from FB and he immediately took a contested mark and goaled...

If he does return he has to play FF for the VFL side, none of this fb crap.
