Next week we need to get our matchups spot on in the backline to win i beleive, I say Brown gets Kosi, Harry first crack at Reiwolt as harry plays better on lead up forwards rather than guys anchored in the 50.
But Milne poses a problem, we always struggle with small quick forwards all the time and this little **** could cause headaches if the matchup is not right, my call is Clarke to mind him as he has the speed to match Milne and could hurt on the rebound as Milne is unaccountable so what do you guys think?

Id love to think Harry could take Milne and destroy him but Harry worries me playing deep inside 50 on nimble opponents he can look nervous and unassured being so accountable that close to goal, Prefer him on Roo or loose across half back this week.

Milne is rubbish against teams that pressure the ball (like, say, Collingwood). He's been negative value every time he's played us, even when he's kicked goals. Not worried about him at all.

I actually thought Schneider played quite well today considering they were getting flogged, and I'd prefer we didn't put Goldsack on him. Maybe stick Lockyer onto him though he hasn't been in great form.

I'm surprised to hear everyone thought Riewoldt got towelled by Brown last time. As I remember it, Riewoldt pretty much took marks at will, albeit not doing terribly much with the ball and spraying it a bit. He also had that injury to the webbing in his hand which kept him out for most of the 2nd quarter.

Just looking it up, had 21/8 with 2.3 and 2 assists and 6 inside 50's. So yeah, hardly towelled.

I also thought Brown was very lucky not to give away 3-4 free kicks in that game.

Harry's still our best match-up for him, but current structure dictates we use him as a small defender.

Harry thrashed Milne both times this year. Even kicked a great goal on Milne remember.

Harry also has good history on Rieowldt although Brown played very well against him last time too.

if neon leon was never born harry O would have goal of the year after that goal he kicked on milne earlier this year. saints don't like the MCG much either.

Pretty much spot on although I would have Goldsack taking Schneider. Depends om their changes - if Charlie Gardiner plays then Goldsack to take him. I'd prefer Clarke to be on the wing.

Harry O for Milne. As Jabso said, he has taken Milne both times this year.

Would love to give Maxwell a shot at Hayes or Dal Santo.

He can't do anything at the MCG, he kicks all his goals at TD.

I agree, Goldsack would be perfect. Will just smashed him when he gets the ball....and will apply lots of pressure!

Whilst I don't rate him, Milne is the of player you have to devote a lot of attention to, as if you don't he can tear you apart very, very quickly.
It's a difficult situation because I'd prefer Harry plays on Riewoldt, as he beat Brown convincingly last time ... we were lucky he missed a few crucial goals. I'd be very, very reluctant to play Goldsack or Clarke on Milne ... just because he is too smart for them.
Hopefully Riewoldt plays up the ground, then I'd be happy for Browny to take him and Harry Milne.

I thought Brown did well on Riewoldt because he only kept him to about 3 shots on goals and beat him plenty of crucial times when it mattered inside 50. Reiwoldt is no dud and will find a way to contribute. This isn't Hansen from WCE we're talking about where if he kicks 2 and gets 10 marks that means he's had a good day, Riewoldt can destroy teams, and Brown curbed his influence.

Yep agreed, Milne's biggest weapon is to play on turning sharply and to kick the quick one under your nose. The best thing for us is that he aint too bright and he'll get pinged by a number to tacklers with fast closing speed that can read the play eg Goldy, Marty, Swanny, Tarks.

Harry might be a bit of a waste on him because Harry has such an upper strong body against opponents so personally I'd have him on someone else. I think Marty might be a waste too because I'd also prefer Marty on the ball so maybe Goldy and Tarks rotation?
