Do yo really think it lifted them on saturday? I think my point was pretty clear so no need to repeat it. I think a few players may have been caught up in the excitment of winning the pre-lim. I dont for one second believe the chant does anything in the slightest to effect the result of a game. I love the players but they are selling themselves very short as professional athletes if they believe it helps

No, i don't think it lifted them on saturday. It wasn't anywhere near as loud. Basketballers talk about how the crowd lifts the team all the time, it is also a part of MM's game plan when we play interstate. Shutting down the oppositions supporters goes a long way in helping us. He has commented on it several times in post match interviews.

How exactly did it lift them?? we were outplayed by 40 points after the chant started....

It wasn't half as loud as it was on the previous friday, hence not having the same affect, thought that was pretty damn obvious......

It was perfect for the Cats game ...so cheersquad use what brain cells you have left and chant when we are looking like we are going to win the dam game !!

Not at the start - not in the middle - but, yes you get it at the end if we look like winning

What's wrong with doing something a little different? If it differentiates the Collingwood people from the rest then great. What is disappointing is that it took so long for something esle other than "Collingwood clap clap clap" to get a hold.

At least we have a chant/song/tune that is recognisable now. All we need is for the legend to be cemented in our culture and have it associated with a flag victory.

Don't let the haters out there dictate what a collingwood person should or shouldn't do. If they don't like it, do it more! I know there has been a lot of Collingwood bashing going on but now is a time to stand tall and be proud of the black and white. Go pies

I was talking about the previous Friday. In the prelim we were 80 odd points up when the loudest chant started, then only won by 40.

Worst post I have ever seen.

Clearly haven't seen his contributions to the 'Tainted GF' thread on the mainboard;

dont always agree with saint supporters, but on this occasion I do agree...

Even though the books will say there is a winner - this week feels like just another home and away game.

Cant believe I'm saying this but cant even get excited - had two tickets for this week and gave them away to a friend... that's how much I regard this week

Anyway hope this changes by the end of the week. But smells of cheap aftershave!!!
