He is not the first player to be unprofessional. Surely, there is a process which which is conveyed to the player and if breaches agreements he is omitted suspended fined - this becomes public and the focus remains on his football professionalism.
Remember this is a player who pays for himself because of the membership and crowds he draws.
You don't handle it so that he becomes the subject of this madness and devalue him by the day.
Or
The club has moved on from the days where they let their best player bang a teammates wife, only to move on the teammate.
Also, why the hell would we base list management decisions on if a guy draws a crowd? Who cares? If it puts the club in a better position to win games should be the only factor.
