Stuart John McMaster - Child Murderer

Not that it particularly relates to this case, I also strongly believe that parole board's should be held legally responsible for the crimes committed by those who offend while on early release from previous crimes. Make the suits accountable for their judgemental errors, just like those in the health, construction and other industries.

Your proposal is absolutely flawless. I don't see any reason why this shouldn't be implemented.

If 20yrs is the maximum and this bloke kills a kid and only gets 13yrs, what in heaven's name do you have to do to be given the maximum?

Re: Stuart John McMaster

The judge described how McMaster prepared for his role as the household disciplinarian by modifying a belt to become a heavy strap.

It was designed to better beat this "very young and defenceless boy".

McMaster had become the "strap man" in the family. Few present in the court will forget the words Cody is said to have used as he pleaded in vain for mercy: "Don't call the strap man, dad."

McMaster beat Cody again and again. The post-mortem examination found more than 160 bruises on his body.

It is hard to comprehend how such a small body can carry so many signs of brutality, so much evidence of so many crimes.

The bruises were everywhere: on Cody's head, neck, chest, abdomen, arms, legs, penis and buttocks. But there was more, much more: a gash to the forehead, a tear in the mouth, two skull fractures, a torn liver, and a "shearing tear" to the mesentery, the structure that holds the internal organs in place.

The internal injury that caused Cody's death was probably inflicted days before he died.

On the day he died, this already dying boy was hit 20 to 25 more times in "savagely cruel" attacks.

His atrocities are outlined on this page, but it is some indication of the horror that a mortician involved in the case described it as the worst in his 10 years of observing violent death.

So traumatised were mortuary staff they worked in teams to try to ease the pain.

The mortician, who did not want to be named, said she had once dealt with a person trampled to death by a horse.

The injuries to Cody were "far worse".

I have just read this with tears in my eyes thinking about my boys.
Poor little Cody,no chance against this 'person'
Hard to believe a man could do this to a child
13 years is a joke

Yep. Ditto that. At the very least a maximum security confinement for the rest of his miserable existence. Give him plenty of time to realise the disgusting errors of his life, and hopefully force him to wallow in his remorse.

Fantastic idea, maybe they'd think twice before sentencing.

I must say though with caution, it's been proven that people placed in a case and given the facts in a majority of cases look to a weaker punishment than one given. Lets not get hysterical and start chucking everyone in, this was one incident, terrible yes but we must show reason. It is hard to know how people would fare after they get out and unlike this case, many cases aren't clear cut.

Thanks everyone for their thoughts here and I'm glad to see we're on the same wave length regardless of personal opinions on Capital Punishment and the like.

I used to be Catholic but the stories of the atrocities done in the name of God and Jesus Christ as well as the horific things done to kids by priests etc... left me without a faith but when I think of poor Cody and what he's been through, I can't help but think that through what he had to endure, there was some sort of higher level that he could get help from to get through the torment? I also now must think that he's somehow, somewhere where the pain is no longer, hopefully on a higher plane and then perhaps, there is a heaven?

I have since, found myself praying again for Cody and also praying that another child does not have to go through what he went through, ever again.

In addition to this post and others in this thread, I must also take time to write to the DPP or the OPP and ensure that his case is re-heard and the killer gets his true justice.

People whom have any sort of sympathy for this killer must not have children or at least, no heart.

Guy is now out enjoying life and this kid only lived his life for 5 years and in terror of being hit. So sad

It makes me nauseous.
This tests my belief around CP.
I’d forgive any relation of Cody for beating this ######## to within an inch of his miserable life.

I wish I hadn’t started reading that description.

Awful. How did he survive prison?

I used to look after him on occasion when I was working at Barwon.

How did he survive? He was locked up in the same unit, Hoya, with the likes of Peter Dupas, John Sharpe and a host of old pedos, the unit was is a protection unit and is segregated from the mainstream units.

When I first got there he used to strut around the unit in his white bonds singlet like king shit (he was to a degree because they were all weak as piss, he was just younger than most).

Doing our daily cell inspections / searches one day, I was going around with the unit supervisor doing them. She'd stand at the cell door and watch my back while I was carrying out the search. We were doing McMaster's one particular day and he was standing there outside the cell watching what I was doing. We noticed that he had a picture of Cody stuck up on his wall. The Supervisor entered the cell and took it down. McMaster asked what she thought she was doing, it was his picture and he was entitled to have it. I thought the supervisor was going to rip his face off. She could barely speak she was that enraged, she just looked at him and told him that he was a gutless piece of shit and didn't deserve to have the picture. He went to have a crack back but I told him to **** off, he slunk off like the weak dog that he is.

If he is truly out, I think someone will get him. Whether they kill him or just bash him, who knows.

Just from memory, but after this case, were sentencing laws changed for cases like this particular one?

Definitely out now wears a ankle bracelet so searched his name and this is what I found. It really has shocked me that he did this sometimes you just can’t pick it. Not sure I will look at him the same knowing this.
