No idea how the contracts work. Surely in these contracts their must be stipulations that if you cheat or through violence or unacceptable behaviour become banned from playing, surely we no longer pay your wages until said ban is completed.

Or something along those lines but im no lawyer and have never worked in any kind of field that deals with contracts etc... so who knows. If anybody has any light on that subject, it would be interesting to hear.

I imagine all contracts have clauses for something like this, I doubt anyone would stop Liverpool going down that path.

Did they win the title last season? This suspension is also longer is it not?

With Chelsea and City really strengthening any weaknesses they found last year, Liverpool will miss their best player a great deal.

The 9 premier league games aren't easy games.

If we keep him which I think is unlikely. Surely we not only go down this route by not paying him his wages whilst he serves his ban but I hope we also fine him significantly so he is double out of pocket.

Obviously I have no idea what Henry, Werner, Ayre and Rodgers are thinking. I guess we will know more in the next week or so. My gut feeling is that Rodgers will back himself to win without him and he will be sold.

Uh, no, but hardly because of Suarez missing games, considering Sturridge stepped up in his absence. They lost to Soton but Soton had conceded something like 2 goals for the season so hard to argue they would have done better with Suarez. Don't think this ban is any longer domestically.

Was a right-sided midfielder / right winger at Leeds. Not sure where he was played at Norwich

They won a lot of games 1-0 during that time. It's a big ask for Sturridge to produce the same results as last season but we will see.

When Suarez missed a few later on in the season Sturridge stepped up, he seems a pretty competent striker when up front on his own. But as you say, we'll see. I don't think you can say Suarez truly cost them the title though.
 
there is no way a man who has been banned for 30+ games without receiving a red card is worth anything over 60 mil.

as said, you're buying the sideshow along with the talent. adidas have already confirmed they're sitting down with suarez about his sponsorship (not sure if liverpool are in any way affiliated with adidas). but real madrid are. there's a problem already. decreases his value.

he has a ban for approx 12 games. chances are pretty high that he'll do something stupid once again. decreases the value

will he want to remain in england once the latest round of jokes and headlines come out, after already saying how much it affected him. guess what? value goes down.

sure, bale at 100 mil might have been a silly transfer. but bale isn't a silly person. luis suarez is.

He's quality but yeah, will be 29 before the start of the season I believe.

He probably still has 2-3 good seasons in him.

I'd rather hold onto him personally but he misses playing champions league. Hopefully continues playing well for France and driving his value up if he does have his heart set on leaving.

Suarez 33 starts for 31 goals 3 assists as a forward.
Sanchez 34 starts for 19 goals and 10 assists as a Winger.

For all the talk of Suarez's amazing season(which it definitely was) Sanchez wasn't that far behind.
