Just deciding what type of surgery, getting experts opinion is my guess. Traditional reconstruction or is he a candidate for latarjet procedure.

Listening to Stewie on AFL360 right now, it does seem they might opt for surgery, given his age and how this is only the start of his career.

Probably the wise move. Has a whole career ahead of him. This isn't the year we are going to peak anyway. Get him right for 2021 when we should be starting to push for finals.

Still reckon it’s up in the air, otherwise they’d confirm surgery and get on with it.

reckon they’re having a hard time telling Rowell he can’t play.
Do you blame them? haha. Try telling him that. He wanted to get back on the ground after the injury. So telling him he will miss the rest of the season.. yeah wont be easy.

He just needs to see a surgeon.
Don't think anyone would commit based on looking at some scans alone.

Our doctors can't decide this, they're not orthopaedic surgeons - he needs to see a specialist. There is no one in Woollongong that would be suitable.

They probably will take him to sydney to see one by the end of the week. They gotta head that way for the weekend's game anyway.

It's Rowelly! Give him a sharp knife and a nip of whiskey, he can do it himself!

Back in 3 months. Better than I expected tbh.

James Brayshaw IQ = 4
I was worried his recovery would go into disrupting his 2021 Pre-Season so I can live with this.
We battle away and keep improving/developing everyone else this season and be ready to launch next year with Rowell added in again.

Its for the best. Have to consider his age and the start of how career. No need to rush him this year. Let him start fresh in a full normal season next season

Gaz was initially 3 months too IIRC. Just depends. He got a whole bunch of complications and setbacks with frozen shoulder and the like. That said, I anticipate Rowelly's will go a bit better. Fingers crossed it's as smooth as can be and it doesn't affect him in the future.
