I really hope you are right, but i just don't see it. He doesn't have a Test technique (mind you, not many of them do these days).I know he’s only really shown a lot in the Big Bash lately - but Cooper Connelly is the most talented young batsman in the country.
Averages 46 in the Shield.
It’ll be such a shame if he becomes a T20 mercenary.

Move it on Bro , he hesitated . Hope you had a great xmasView attachment 2502312
Neser backing up, and without the slightest bit of hesitation.
I might never have batted. I'm kinda glad I didn't spend enough time around cricket ovals to lose the ability to discern fact from fiction.
Totally agree mate , McSweeney a chance as well and i don't think Green will be dropped , as they love himKellaway should play the last test
Green and Marnus won’t be dropped I bet
Uz should retire and be done with it

bedford world has a fair bit of cricket experience and knowledge , but still capable as we all are of making a mistake my friend .Of course he did... in bedfordworld. Like Marnus got him out last week and Rob Quiney got shafted because of Phil Hughes.

Funny you should mention Bob had a chat to him the other day , great fella
West Indies batters did alright on their wickets but the rest of your post rings true.In days past, the pitch would've been described as a good cricket wicket. Its not like it was on the same level as the diabolical WACA one where Ambrose had a field day or some of the pitches that West Indian curators use to serve up.
The reality is that the modern day batter does not have the technique or temperament to play on anything other than a road. This is down to T20 and the reduced emphasis on FC cricket.
Perhaps CA needs to recognise this and instruct the curators to take the spice out of the pitches?
I don't think I will ever get used to the term "batters".West Indies batters did alright on their wickets but the rest of your post rings true.
He is a good bowler but the problem is that he bowls sparingly at the moment due to the injuries he has had. Also, despite doing ok on difficult wickets in the W indies at number3, he has been up and down the batting order. Doesn't excuse some of his decision making in this series with the bat, but doesn't help.I knew we went in too heavy in the bowling.
Green bowled 5 ballls in the first innings. I predicted he would bowl less than 5.
Not much point in having an all rounder that does not bowl more than 5 overs. Especially if he is not contributing the runs. Just hope and not much substance.
Head can bowl more than 5 overs.
We needed another batsman and I predicted it. Green is not an all rounder that can impact a game like an all rounder should. Never has. He has only shown glimpses of talent at both. That does not make you a test all rounder. Especially as a batsman. Did not score more than 20 in each innings I think.
Hard to drop anyone after 46 was the top score on that pitch. Neser was very ordinary in the second innings. He goes out for Murphy and Green gets more overs. Richardson did well first up after a lengthy spell.Kellaway should play the last test

Green is neither at test level. Nor is Inglis. Uzzie (of whom I am a fan) has gone on a year too far). Labuschagne was rightly dropped and brought back in desperation, Wetherald doesn't look the goods and Smith is fading.I knew we went in too heavy in the bowling.

We don't have a good consistent batting line-up at all.
Maybe the complete opposite to you're little digs . Wouldn't concede anything to you my friendSo gracious and humble! And it only took four posts of denial before you conceded. Lol
