Not sure if this has already been posted, but it’s a nice little piece on a couple of the Swans WA boys, Angus & Logan.

Awesome! Can wait to take the family. Was at the last pre season game there against the saints if I recall. Ground and facilities have been improved also👍

I think it is a good idea. Longmire seems to want to create a unique experience for the players in taking the game to Albury and interacting with the community.

Rather than it being just another routine preseason game against GWS in Sydney which we do every year.
He might take them to the family farm at Corowa

Again focuses on the need to improve contested ball, which has been a consistent theme this pre-season.
Talks up the young leaders, with I thought special focus on McInerney & Gulden. :)

I get the impression we are getting more coverage this pre-season than in previous years (incl non covid times).
Long may it continue.

Great insight from Horse (credit to Marc McGowan who I maintain is one of the better footy journos out there)

I'll also post in the list, game plan & best 22 thread for further discussion.

Inside Sydney: Episode 4

This week we have a behind the scenes look within the four walls of the club, speaking to Damian Raper, Zoe Vicic and Rob Inness.
I love the Inside Sydney Episodes...

Him and Ronke could be fighting it out if he doesn’t start nailing them goals IMO

I find this to be an odd take. He was probably number 1 at our club for defensive efforts and tackling pressure, and was also top 5 at the club for goals kicked with 17. His inaccuracy was a frustrating flaw in his game and an area he definitely has the most room to improve, but just because he wasn't elite at it, doesn't mean he wasn't still good at it. 17 goals is still a very solid return for a young forward whose played under 30 games and whose primary role in the team is to tackle and pressure.

IMO he is in no danger of losing his spot.

I agree. Wicks has a very consistent all round game and plays to a very high level every week which is the opposite of Ronke. Ronke can put in a performance of 5 goals and then be largely non existent for a period of games. Ronke will be looking over his shoulder at guys like Sheather and Sheldrick just to stay on the list. He needs to come out firing in 2022 or the writing is on the wall.

Each to their own , that’s what this about.

Imo his spot is no way cemented , misses goals that are his cream on to many occasions for me

Not arguing with that, he definitely missed some gettable ones. But you keep focusing on the ones he didn't get. What about the 17 goals he did get? Who is realistically going to be able to do better than that while also bringing the defensive efforts that Wicks brings?

You really think Ronke is the answer?

Ronke kicked 7 in 1 match lol

In all seriousness he needs to kick more than 17 with the opportunity he gets.

Only my opinion but he isn’t as good as dole think , he will be under pressure at some point.

His field kicking is also not up to it at times. He doesn’t offer a lot up the ground either
