Swans vs Richmond @ Narrandera

The guy is amazing. Not my favourite player by any stretch and was used as a scapegoat at times last season, but you gotta love the way he goes at his footy.

Due to his fitness issues he was played mainly out of position last year. He's not a HFF. He had very little impact and as a result was seen as underperforming. He's an in and under type and this year he'll provide great support to Kirky an company as he has done so in previous years.

Yep and those who just go along with the flow with "leave the boys alone" comments are usually those who accept mediocrity.

I will not stick up for players on $250,000 plus who stroll around the park and get put into positions they are not accustomed to because by their own admission were not fit.

They should be dropped to the 2's to get fit and get back the desire to get back to the level of fitness required. For me it was too much, easy come easy go for Bolton last year and he should not be forgiven for "just one bad year". He's had 2 shockers in a row.

my fave player is LRT, i love jude, i am not in it for the "stars", you ostrich
if you've read through any of my posts (or the posts of like-minded others) there are many reasons why i am fed up with the likes of mcveigh
and i also have valid reasons for believing the likes of crouch and mathews, even leo (all club champions and 05 heroes) are on notice to prove form and fitness or be dropped from the senior 22
if you don;t agree, that's fine, i don't even ask or expect you to give tour reasons
but as for this crud about "cheap shots", and suggesting i'm not a real supporter, is puerile rubbish

I agree with you to a certain extent mate. I have no problem with supporters being critical of our own but some people take it too far.

McVeigh is not my favourite player but he has achieved more than I ever did and I suggest more than most of the posters on Big Footy.

thirdly, as i have started before, i was a huge fan, supporter and defender of mcveigh until the 06 season, when i simply got fed up watching the same weak-hearted mediocre performances from such a highly talented player, and even through another ordinary season in 07 i maintained tat i would give the loudest cheer if and when mcveigh turned in performances consistent with his talent over a period longer than 1 or 2 quarters every few weeks

in every clubthere is one player who the fans get into,mcveigh being one,and i would love nothing more than him to prove me wrong but he has had every opportunity over the last 2 years.this is when other players don't get a go at the swans

i'd have thought the suggestion that certain of us are behaving like richmond's spitters is more offensive and uncalled for than anything else

davis is a forward and at least he can kick straight
schneider missed too many, as a crumbing forward, and both mcveigh and jude are awful in front of goal, although going on the preseason jude seems to have at least been practising
