He listens to triple M LOL

I've already said I think the Vampires are sh*t.

But if that's a reason to not accept them in the league, why don't we just turf the Dragons? They are tripe

Even if we assume general sustainability of the Dragons and Vampires is comparable, you don't think there's a difference between supporting an existing team and admitting a new one?

They are both shit, and you know it.

You will not see any existing club removed from the league. It just will not happen. They will lay in the corner like a sick animal, as we all watch in horror. We have enough of them each season and most certainly do not need anymore. No one should be taking advice on the standing and status of the league and what it needs from a bunch of inconsistent posters and participants running around parading deflated balloons, trying to pass them off as legitimate expansion bids.

An Honest Question.

Where do the 40 odd players go?

And don't say they take up spots 21-27 in any teams lists.

If you can show we can accommodate all of them in best 20 players of 12 teams, then you are a magician.
To the teams that say yes to expansion.

Shit, this isn't a PM

I bet you anything you like that even if the bids got up those 40 odd wouldn't be consistent posters.

They won't,

But name an existing team that has 20+ consistent posters...

They are both sh*t, and you know it.

I don't think the struggling teams are quite as bad as some here think they are.

I would be happy if the expansion teams had 6 players each who didn't keep posting.

It would help them not have to have over 20 active posters for S31. No poster will keep playing if they didn't get a game.

Every list has Fillers, but we won't let these bids.

Well if we're working on the assumption that all of them will be consistent contributors every week.

S29 Average Match Thread Poster Across Competition: 182

12 * 20 = 240 Available spots

240 > 182 + 40

To be fair some teams have too much filler and I suspect that’s what the committee is trying to avoid.

That is fair, but is that evened out with the other side of it. Demons, Warriors, Roys and look at the Furies, even with the Bids in the back ground. One of the strongest lists now, in 1 week of off season. It can be done.

If I’m a captain I would want water right/awesome bids if I’m going to vote in favour. Both bids missed the mark for mine and I don’t think I’m alone.

Just sounds like there is more work to do, not that there is a line through it ever happening.

Well look, I'm not going to be losing sleep if the bids are rejected.

I do think they left their announcements way too late and haven't helped themselves in many ways.

That said, I think there's a lot of overreactions from the conservative Anti-Expansion brigade.
These bids will be dead in the water, waiting for the rescue team to recover them within two seasons.

I am genuine in this request; can you provide me a list of positives these bids have going for them that will make any sane person sit back and say that these bids will survive in the long run?

There isn't 40 players.

There are at least three players that were asked to sign up to BigFooty just to add numbers (one of those had a dormant account for many years). There is 12+ players that are already in lists. There are at last count over ten players that either haven't checked in or are previous delistees due to inactivity. There's at least one player that said they would never come back to the Sweet FA. What's left is a mixed bag of say 10-12 rookies who may make it (with some clear standouts) and some former players who *may* have their interest sparked up again. I think a competition of 12 can handle that, even if some aren't fussed about getting involved.

They would survive due to the number of massive egos in the league. As soon as they start to struggle some hero will start NWO part 3.

Didn't Wayne have the Roys the biggest dropper in the league in his posting stats thread and that's before they lost IDC?

If expansion goes ahead the Demons weaken. The Furies have some really good activity coming in, Sterge may be a bonus if his fifth return pays off.
