Its hillarious watching those highlights, they look like little kids back then even though it was only a few years ago. Rich (pretty sure its Rich) especially looks tiny compared to what he looks like now.

What's with all of the McGinnity love? I have read a few posts in different threads (Round 7 teams ect.) that he should be given a run. I don't want to sound negative, but from what I have seen there would be a few players before him IMO, eg. Houlihan, Schofield, McNamara.

He seems to be on everyones mind, and I think it is due to the Maxwell bump more than anything. I have only seen him on the televised Claremont games, but he has hardly set the world alight.

Gun.

Gun.

Why is he a gun in your opinion?

I haven't seen enough of him to state that he should come in to the team. He would be well behind other players IMO.

He's not a gun, an honest hard at it tagger who will most likely become our next option as a defensive mid should Stenglien continue to decline

Honestly.. I dont know. Its a cop out but I think its just that I have a gut feeling that he is going to become a top level stopper in the future. Or mabye I just like his name? Its a pretty cool name.

He hasent set the WAFL world on fire but has had a few set backs, mostly the set back his jaw has now from where it used to sit on his face. My prediction is that he wont break into the team and do a Swift but he will be around for the future and become our No.1 stopper.

I like McGinnity, he has the ability to play AFL. His form has been ok since coming back to WAFL, he does not get enough touches but he uses the ball well. Claremont don't exactly give the ball to the best option, when Blackwell gets 33 touches you're side should be in trouble.

Swift wasn't mentioned in the West article today so I could have prematurely jizzed my pants. We'll find out in <5 hours though.

From the article :

Scott Selwood has worked his way into some excellent form at WAFL level with Perth and will also be considered, while Claremont teenager Tom Swift was also mentioned by Worsfold as a possible inclusion.

You missed it.
