FFS It is Cloke.
FIGJAM do you base the 14 call on Pre-draft buzz or after having seen Travis at league level (Or did you just pull a random number out of the air)?

Dought that he would of been taken that high, you could of probley got him with your pick 23, unless Hawthorn make a grab at him at pick 21.

Totally incorrect. Would of been a top 10 selection for sure. Lance Franklin and Cloke were rated as on par with each other as a key forward, pre draft buzz Travis would of been with in top 10. Same for Jesse Smtih for Kangaroos possibly Jesse Smith would of been top 3.

Doubt it.

Probably late first round

Your Tigers would have picked him up over Adam Pattison. He was definitely rated higher than Pattison going into the draft.

Melbourne probably would've considered him at #15 over Lynden Dunn as well.

Then again, there are probably teams who might have taken him earlier than that as the best player available.

Good thing you doubt it cause you are in doubt. Travis would of been selected top 10 lots of recruitment people were saying top ten and still are saying that. Don't go around doubting things you know nothing about.

Jesse Smith top 5 for sure
Trav Cloke top 10 but the again there are only 18 picks in the first round so does 11-12 mean late first round

MM said that his TAC cup team played him HFF/wing instead of CHF because they already had one and that probably hurt his chances the fact that his potential as a true KPP was largely unknown. Travis reminds me a bit of Riedwoldt the way he moves and works at ground level but the one crticism I have is that he doesn't lead enough and present himself enough. Although we haven't seen him in many contests due to our poor form there is a small query on Travis's ability to mark but that could easily be worked on.
With Travis having a pretty good first year I wouldn't be suprised to see him improve a hell of alot next year and burst on to the scene. This year will let Travis know what is required of an AFL level player. We should always give young players who work hard at Willy over a long period a chance to debut/get a game because even if they are lost at AFL level they will strive to work harder so they are AFL level.
