Do you mean, the worst captain in the AFL to hold up a premiership cup?

He was acting captain ..captain by default...fill in ...substitute...pretender.....relieving captain ....but not captain....and is still acting :D

What a joke:D

why do other team supporters in particular Crow supporters worry so much about Port

I'll tell you why. It's because of all the big mouthed comments that POWER people make ie; "the dream final", "the easy part of the draw", "the best 0-4 team in history", the goose step, the phone call, it goes on and on. They continue to make arrogant, outlandish statements that only serve to fire up their opponents and make them look foolish. That's why so many hate them. Because they ask for it.

They should really learn to keep their big traps shut and just play footy !

It seems as if the Crows need someone to say or do something before they get fired up?

So Tredders taking a bow must fire the Camries up but James Hird hugging a spectator doesn't. This probably explains why the Crows have never beaten Essendon in Melbourne … in 17 years.

Warren Tredrea - 1 Premiership as captain
Mark Ricciuto - 0 Premierships as captain

That said, Mark Bickley - 2 Premierships as captain, so that throws my theory right out of the water. You don't necessarily have to be any good to be a premiership captain.

In all seriousness, Primus was out all year and Tredrea led us all the way to the flag.

I wish we'd kick to him occasionally these days, he's basically being used as a foil for Motlop.

Foil? More like a paper towel.

However, I will give Tredders credit for all of his tireless work for charity - giving Shannon Watt the chance to pick up a Brownlow vote after going almost 150 games without one is a truly magnanimous and touching gesture. Take a bow for that Wazza:thumbsu:

Don't know why a North supporter would be bagging Tredrea. He tore your lot apart in a final at the Docklands a few years back. I can still hear the squeals of pain from the match thread on the North board.

As for the rest of you, if Tredrea had kicked that goal he'd be getting kudos for nailing a difficult shot. Because he missed the idiots come out to play. Ah well it's Bay 13 after all.

He was never going to kick a captains goal. Lets be serious.

Maybe because he's one of many AFL players who can (or at least once could) play the game very well, but one of the very few who would have the massive ego and disrespect to his opponents to do the bow to the crowd.

Karma's a bitch. :)

I dont get the insult.

Most of us Crowies dont care about the "Camry Crows" tag. Yes it was a shit song that promoted the club as well as a product but who cares. The club learnt and changed the official song. However its still on the banner they put out at 1/4 and 3/4 times "Camry Crows"...

But call Port Adelaide, Port Power and the world comes to an end. Talk about precious, club cant even decide when it was formed. They sell Est 1996 merchandise in the shop, and we are the franchise

Yeah because no player should ever interact with his supporters.

It's not like he made his bow to the North players. Get a life. Our lot helped form a guard of honour for Archer after the game. We showed more than enough respect for your club and it's players.

That's your view........I suggest it's a minority view.

Chris Grant would have kicked it.:p

Yes, what a nerve to laugh at a showboating, arrogant flog like good old Captain Kickless. He's a great example of a player who's hung on a year too long. Admittedly, as captain, it probably would have been difficult for him to retire on the back of last year's GF. Instead, he gets to play the role of decoy to that other showboater extraordinaire, Daniel Motlop, and to sabotage Westhoff's development by his mere presence in the same forward line.

Many people come here to post rubbish. I come here to set the record straight.

That is without a doubt one of the funniest things I've read on Bay 13 for a very long time. Let the record reflect that your are one seriously deluded individual.

Name us a player better at their peak from your list champ? (and a premiership captain from your list)

he's got talent, hasn't he?

Shinboner spirit > success. lol :D
Thanks for playing :thumbsu: :p

Our great players have the good sense to call it quits before they tarnish their onfield legacy - Warren Tredrea 2008 is an embarrassment. Also, I didn't know that Matthew Primus was still a listed Port player. If so, just goes to prove my point that the boys from Alberton just don't know when to hang up the boots.

Daniel Motlop has talent - what a revelation! Means nothing when you don't apply it consistently. Where's Motlop in big games or real pressure situations? His four possessions in last year's GF (a game low) positively bristled with talent. Based on that performance, he's still got a fair way to go to catch up with his less 'talented' brother's efforts in a GF.

Port - best 4 and 11 team in history.
