I know this is a prediction thread, but I was the opposite and thought it a shrewd signing. Morton is a lot like Cornelius as an undersized key forward and mental application in that both ooze natural ability, but as players in the early years of their AFL careers did not apply themself as required and thought that natural ability would get them by in the AFL, which as has been realised, is not the case. IMO, Morton is a classy player and still with hard work can be a bloody good AFL player. He is the type of player that would not surprise me in bobbing up and having a Shane Ellen-esqu GF.

I'm not sure what awful predictions I made, apart from being 100% sure in a preview and in a thread that Dyson and Bartlett would get games towards the end of the season.

I did very nearly put $5 on Shane Tuck to place in the Brownlow at incredibly juicy odds, but I bought a burger instead. The burger was average but I am happy with my decision.

When he first came to the club I understood him to have good skills and a good footy brain. I figured he may have been getting games because the club believed there was talent there but it was taking a while for it to blossom. I thought that a break out year was possible. But the talent (if indeed it was ever there) never blossomed and he will now go down in history as a bit of a plodder.
