So this is all a good time for everyone to jump on my selections because when i dont bet, i ****ing win and when i do bet i win 50/50 but the odds are always against me.. mind you, ill be selecting my *play* bets as if they where real bets. This is just a fun thread to try and make myself cry.. which will probally end up happening. Im also doing this to try and become a better punter myself. Im sure if you follow you will win.

Will start this bank at 100 Units.

1 Unit = $5

of course you have your own units. But do follow for fun :)

Thanks Jan For the input.

As apart of the attempt to learn self-control... im going to post my tip for tonight.

1 Unit Chelsea TD Manchester United @ 2.10.

(im learning oaks. 1% ^^)

You're welcome.

Instead of posting meaningless/imaginary bets (1 Unit Chelsea TD Manchester United @ 2.10.) adding even further to the waffle that gets spewed into cyberspace ad nauseum, why don't you tell us why you have come to this conclusion for this bet?

Do Chelsea wear your favourite colour strip thus making them a lock?
Did the bloke on the other end of the 1800-horoscope number suggest it?
Who is the bet with?
Is there better value out there?
Why did you play this bet type in this instance instead of +/- goals, Asian Handicap etc.?

Perhaps the 3/4/5 minutes spent typing out 1-200 words justifying your selection (rather than just your selection), and the availability of hours of posting time pre-match for others to debate/argue your/their opinions to gain a better depth of knowledge of the event in question - would be more beneficial and more of a learning process.

Maybe that's just me.

I'm learning self control..... so I am having a bet tonight.

Oaks, im having a *play* bet because i feel that the odds are overs and am quietly confident that chelsea will hurt manchester united.

Jan , your right. But i never really expect anyone to care for to much reasoning on bigfooty. Never the less ill give you one.

Chelsea post a great home record at stamford bridge this season, they are flying in the premier league and in the champions league. Manchester United havent won at stamford for many years, and as i look at in on paper Chelsea are far superior to United. United go into the clash with injury doubts to key players. Having watched them on several occasions this season, there is definetly not the same flair about the side. Chelsea have won all 5 at home in the league so far this season and although United can never be discounted, I thought United looked very vulnerable against Liverpool (my side) a few weeks ago when losing 2-0 and they also failed to take care of an average Russian side in the Champions League midweek. And where probally lucky to get a draw. Luck has played United into success in reason times, but the luck run will stop here.

Hence my selection. Chelsea to beat Manchester United

I hope this enough for you. :)

Betfair has your needs for this bet.

Cheers, didn't use google, just put it through my old man's program to find plagiarism at school. Don't make a habit of doing this, there's a good chance you would be kicked out of uni if you handed an assessment like that in.

Personally I feel that you should have been given a break from the punting board a long time ago. Pushing better posts off the board with your self-indulgent tripe just isn't what this place is about. Jan Juc's posts in this thread are spot on (no JJ, I still live in Kensington and have no idea who you are mate), and while as a die hard United fan for over twenty years I agree that we might get a bit of a touch up tonight unless Darren Fletcher pulls some magic out again, I really couldn't give two shits about adii's plagiaristic thoughts on the matter unless they are in the Premier League thread.

/rant.

for your sake mate, i hope they only lose 3-0..

wouldnt like to see a royal united hiding :)

Darren Fletcher is a Royal United flop..

but good luck to you...

Darren Fletcher has three more league titles than anyone on your pissant roster, and scored the winner against Chelsea back in 05 when we were pants and they were flying, hence my post.

Shit luck to you.

i put a be on with odds of 38,000 that this song will be played more than 6 times in 2010

Oh we're from Tigerland
A fighting fury
We're from Tigerland
In any weather you will see us with a grin
Risking head and shin
If we're behind then never mind
We'll fight and fight and win
For we're from Tigerland.
We never weaken till the final siren's gone
Like the Tiger of old
We're strong and we're bold
For we're from Tiger (yellow and black)
We're from Tigerland.

To the original poster, I've got no idea on who you are or what your "form" is on this forum as I spend little to no time here.

My post to you was genuine, and tried to push you towards learning something (something you yourself hinted that you wanted to do) as opposed to just adding another useless junk thread to this forum.

Others seem more than ready to sink the boots in, so maybe you are a cretin that is deserving of this ridicule - I'm not sure.

I will continue in my search for a racing/sports forum where people go/want to learn, as that's what this caper is all about - we're always learning - and exchange/debate ideas, information and theories instead of the usual "my d1ck is bigger than yours" ego-filled crap that abounds in 99% of the forums of this type.

Cheers.

Jan, i dont mind if people dig the boots in. Aint doing shit wrong here. If people dont follow my tips then so be it. The truth is if i was discipline and bet casually like im trying (1% of bank) on what i did know i'd be well and truely loaded. i doubt i've ever come off a weekend of soccer where i've been down. Its always Horses, greyhounds & other shit that kills me.

I've become addicted and like all youth that become addicted, they need discipline ... im merely trying to learn that here.

You know have 101.1 units.

grats ..........

Thanks Notorious with the sarcasm at the end. If i stayed off the horses .........

I'm a United fan but I have to say that I'm not confident at all. Chelsea are, I believe, at this moment in time, the best team in the country, probably followed by Arsenal. United record at Stamford Bridge is abysmal and I would say this is Chelsea's best form since Mourinho's departure. However, I can't count out United totally because as most people know, they can pull something from nowhere when they have to, usually.

Did you take the 2.10 adii....?? If so, and it was on betfair, there was $6 traded at $2.10 on Chelsea - we know you cant go below $5 so did you spend the extra dollar?

absolutely, and I guess this spells the end of his 3rd (and 3rd failed) attempt at a rags to riches thread. I'd employ a 3 strikes and your out policy with this guy, and that would be his 3rd strike.
