2009 proved to be quite a profitable trade/draft period with the additions of Gibson, Burgoyne, Duryea, Stratton and Suckling (rookie promotion). Grimley may yet add to that. Really only dipped out on Hooper and Williams.
and Melbourne had pick 1&2 (as well as 14 & 18) and only pick 2 is left on their list now and is looking like a bit of a wasted draft pick.

Yeah but is that the drafting or the coaching.

Maybe if we'd had those same Melbourne players in our team they would be guns by now.

Always tricky to tell isn't it?

Doc has improved every year and showed he could play finals. I expect 2015 to be a sensational year for him.2015

The switch definitly flicked on when he was at Box Hill and they decided to move him to the back line.I remember watching him after he had been dropped to the Box Hill reserves at Werribee and i remember a section of play through the middle of the ground and i thought holy moley this boy has some moves but at the time i thought he would probably get delisted after being dropped.Glad he got a good run at it as he had a few injuries in his early years!

Had two good years where he seamlessly transitioned and filled in Goo's spot. Was a solid performer but I think his time is up.

Premiership champ. Love the way he plays. Hard at it.

Love the man, but agree with others that he does not seem able to have an impact at AFL level footy.

Will always love him for his 2015 PF performance. Helped us greatly in getting us over the line that night. 2 time premiership player.

His time is probably up though and hasn't taken his game to the next level to keep in the 22.

I think he can definitely still offer something beyond 2018 but unfortunately not at Hawks, do you think there would be any interest from other clubs?

Likewise I expect Shoey & Ceglar to be part of trade deals..

Ceglar yes, but Schoey and Duryea are unrestricted free agents

I’d be happy with a 4th rd pick if a trade were required but I think he should be looking for a pay day opportunity elsewhere.
Does not fit the future best 22 & will be a WX player if retained

Played his role in two premierships, and for that he will always be part of Hawthorn history.

However, in those teams he was surrounded by champions on every line. Like many before him (from all clubs) his deficiencies have been brutally exposed without the cover of those champions to hide them.

Sadly, in my opinion it is time Taylor is moved on. But, based on how long he stayed in the team despite some dreadful games and then being recalled for Friday, Clarko and the match committee appear to rate him far more highly than most of us do. On that basis I expect he will still be on our list and getting games next year.

Has he been delisted already?

Thought he was a great role player throughout the threepeat years. Disappointed he never went the next level because his endeavour couldn't be faulted. Always put in 110% and always running with the flight of the ball into packs etc. Felt like he never really understood the limits of his own physicality, as evidenced by his mandatory holding-the-ball moments that always seem to happen at critical moments. Copped way more flack on BF than he deserved, I think mainly because it's hard to overlook dumb things (even when outweighed by 5 decent things), but it's clear Clarko lost patience.

Expect the Hawks will probably wait to announce delistings, etc until the BHHs finish their finals campaign.

Yeah Doc can leave pretty happy with himself, I'd be very surprised if he was on our list in 2019.
I was absolutely staggered he got a game before Miles.

I also think he has played his last game as a Hawk but if the Box Hill Hawks get up today, he will be a handy addition for them in the Granny.
