not white right. The 25% rules relates to a player’s status as a restricted or unrestricted free agent.

We probably won’t get compo from r duryea regardless. We got it for suckling because he was offered good money to go to dogs.

Seems a good pickup, as he'd be in our best 28 and most likely best 22. Can see him as a good experienced replacement for Jack or Smith, who are both nearing the end. The sort of good, solid player that Carlton or StK should go after, but don't (which is why they stay terrible).

Why would he be out of the Hawks? Has he fallen out of favour, fallen behind someone else, cap space? He's been a solid player for you guys for years, it seems strange he'd be on the way out.

With Burton, hardwick showing good signs and Birchall coming back from injuries, Duryea fell in the pecking order. He is still only 27 so plenty footy left in him.

Yeah, i agree. I think it's a pretty astute pickup if we do get him. Costs us no draft picks, improves out list and i imagine he'd not be on huge dollars. Comes from a club with good system and culture too, so you know you can assign him a role and he'll do it. Pretty happy if he does end up in our colours.

Feel like a change of scenery would do him good, cant help but feel as though he has become a little stale with us. Will add something to your squad.

If you want to see what he can do the 2015 prelim is a good one that sticks out for me.
 
If he leaves as a free agent will we get a late draft pick or nothing because of age.

Back in 2015 he was the Puopolo of the backline, he made a spot in the team his own through hard work and desperation. He has a highlight reel from 13-15 of tough bumps, tackles and fingernail smothers. Since Gibson, Lake and now Hodge have left that backline he's struggled without that experience around him. He's lost his spot repeatedly because of Blake Hardwick to be honest, who came in and started playing the hard nut back pocket role with a bit more speed, agility and shall we say youthful spirit? He's actually got great skills, especially is an accurate kick but occasionally is found lacking a bit of composure when dealing with hot situations in defence. Sydney have one of the better and more experienced defences in the comp, so I think he'll thrive on that system. He could even play forward, as I said he's beautiful kick going inside 50 or at goal.

Biggest bonus for you is that he seems a really popular clubman, the Hawks will feel the absence of his left-of-centre personality and occasional hairdressing talents.
 
Can leave with our blessing, as they’re are plenty of kids gone past him.
That 2015 prelim was his best game.

Will it become more popular to give guys minimal contracts to ensure that they are not delisted free agents where they are likely to be picked up by another club? Seems win-win for the club, if the player leaves we might be compensated, if they stay they are on minimum wage. All assuming that they are still deserving of a spot on our list of course.
