RD 12 Draw with Dees Rant

Will make my Rants in Bullet Points:

• Our Goal Kicking was Pathetic and we be lucky to be Top 4 if we keep it up
• Toovey is Useless and Holding the Side Back with his Shocking Disposal and we beaten today
• We have been biten by the Injury Bug
• Presti is just about Finshed
• Good to see Dick played Well and Actually Kick Straight
• Steele and Pendles where very good
• Our Zone seems to not been working very well lately. Need to go back to Man on Mam
• Have a Tough Game coming up vs Swans
• Never Play Leroy "The Scrub" Brown ahead of Dawes AGAIN
• We where Reactive instead Acting 1st
• McCaffer is adding nothing to the side

At least not mid-season for mine. Too disrupting to the players when, unless Max is severely injured, there's no real reason to change. Demoralising the playing group as a con is something that I can't see any pro from a change justifying.

I'd like to see us play man on mam too. For what it's worth, I don't think Dawes would have added anything today, as it was our typical 'bomb long and hope for a contested mark' strategy.
The forward line and midfield are a cause and effect case. The midfield don't have the skill to kick to a leading forward, which in turn makes the forwards look lazy and stationary.

We need to utilise the corridor like we were in the first few rounds, however time and time again Malthouse reverts back to our boundary rider style of footy, to avoid the evil, invisible dragons in the corridor.
If we're not going to use the corridor, at least guard it!

Today I Saw why Ball makes us a Better Side. We got Destroyed in the Clearances and we missed Ball Presence in his Frantic Efforts to get us the Ball and Also his Tackling was missed.

He could easily been the Difference Today

Well I watched the first half on TV but couldn't handle it. So I listened to the second half on SEN. We just couldn't settle the game down after we got that goal in front. Quite pathetic really and I'm at the point where I don't give a flying **** anymore.

Not giving up on the season but I've had a gut full of us not putting lesser teams away and our shit house kicking at goal. The goal kicking doesn't just happen in the AFL either. Have we even got a goal kicking coach down there? It's not good enough for a supposedly professional footy club.

I agree 100% what you said with our Struggles with Poor Sides and out F**king Terrible Goal Kicking. Been like that for Ages though

That's the problem it has been happening for ages yet we're doing stuff all about it. If we actually kicked straight we quite possibly would've only lost 1 game. Bad goal kicking costs you games. And us supporters are being shown that ALOT.

It's not just kicking straight though; it's where we're kicking them from on the field in terms of distance and angle, it's the amount of time we have to balance, it's the defensive pressure in our face as we're kicking it, and it's the fact we're kicking them on the run rather than from set shots.

We need players with polish, but we also need to take the percentage options in the first instance.

I think MM hit it on the head in his press conference. Our inside 50 entries were shocking and our forward structures didnt work

Im the first to say that im appalled at the result today and it was a pathetic performance. Unfortunately what makes it worse is in a fair few aspects of the game i.e tackling and pressure we were good.

We missed didak today and an in form medhurst would be bloody handy

There were some positives in some of the players today:

-Reid...super effort...over 20 touches with over 80% efficiency... sounds like hes channelling Jimmy Clement
-Swan, as hard and determined as ever, really impressed me today. I know hes a star but today he was brilliant
-Pendles, Big game...very important in the middle to us. So why did he float forward so often? He shouldnt need to
-Thomas, Heart of a bloody lion...he was terrific and he is just getting better and more composed
-Dick....Thank God for you mr dick...6 goals in 2 matches over 3 days...unbelievable

The bad
-Fraser, pretty simple as to why
-Shaw, Where is he...hes gone from AA form to no influence
-Harry O, I dont think hes been at his best for a while i dont know why but he doesnt look as damaging or as effective
- The forward structure...

i just think we havent formulated a forward structure that works for us consistently and it doesnt help when every one of our forward entries is just a high long ball to the hot spot

McCaffer is adding nothing to the side

Tooveys disposal was poor and I agree he needs to improve it but to say he is holding the side back is a stretch. While it would be nice if he could improve his disposal he is in the team predominantly as a shut down defender and he does this role well. Without him our backline would be much worse off as we have no one capable of providing the role he does.

I'm a bit perplexed on your Presti call? Why do you think this is? It wasn't his best game by but it's a bit early to make that call off one bad game when he has been so reliable for so long including this year.

Macaffer adds plenty to the team. He plays his role as a negating utility, he does it well, he has clean disposal and adds versatility. I'm only dissapointed that he hasn't really had an outstanding game so far but he is doing enough to keep his position.

Our Small FWD Letting us Down

With Davis and Medders not playing very well as our Small Fwds. Steele and Dick have been doing a Good Job.

I think both Davis and Medders could get Dropped and could give someone like Rounds a Go in that Postion
