Does anyone else think that Connolly should make Pav's forward 'experiment' of today a permanent fixture?

It just seems to me on the rare occassion he gets put down there, he inevitably kicks goals. When you think we still have Cook and Headland to bring back into the midfield, when they're in the team it could be the perfect opportunity to continue this structure further.

Granted he did fade out of the game at stages, but without 2 of our best midfielders and Bell getting blanketted by kirk, he wasnt exactly getting the best delivery he could.

I guess he's just that good we could play him anywhere and he'd be near best on ground. He probably would have had a better shot on Hall today but what are ya gonna do.. we need more Pav's :)

Being at the Eagles game on Sat night and watching Tredrea's domination, you can just see pav slotting into that elechon of dominant aerobic forwards.

I hate (love?) to think what he'd do to West Coasts hack of a backline.

I'd like to be the devils advocate and suggest a dual CHF with the option of Polak / Pav / Snake. Two of these playing around this area with Snake as a mobile tall, playing more as a long kicking flanker. Polak as a marking option, with Pav as a marking and running option.

Sorry but I reckon the Joondalup Falcons need to give us back the "lost" Longmuir. TLo at FF?.

I reckon he could make the CHF position his own, dominating the league like Tredrea. At the moment he's just another very good midfielder and the league is chockers with those. The only problem with a permanent move up forward is the loss of a quality on-baller, but hopefully Schammer and Dunn will develop quickly to allow a move forward for Pav sooner rather than later.

I agree. Within the next couple of years I think he will gradually be spending more time at CHF. Whether or not he can be permanently be moved to CHF depends on how quickly the likes of Schammer, Browne, Dunn, Webster, Haines, Peake etc develop into quality midfielders so that removing Pav doesn't leave such gaping hole in the midfield.

I think we all agree that provided our midfield is strong enough, the position he will be able to exert the greatest influence on games is from CHF, or even being given a free licence to roam the half forward area.
