ADELAIDE will name an unchanged side for its clash with West Coast at Subiaco on Saturday after ruckman Jon Griffin got through training on Thursday unscathed.

Griffin rolled his ankle in the Crows win over Essendon last weekend and was considered in doubt to make the trip to his home town of Perth, but coach Neil Craig said the in-form big man now was a certainty to play against the Eagles.

“Jon Griffin got through training, which is good for him and good for us. He trained really strongly, so the team at the moment will be unchanged for this week,” Craig said on Thursday.

There was some more good news to come out of Thursday’s closed session, with injured trio Brett Burton (knee), Chris Knights (foot) and Will Young (knee) all set to return through the SANFL this weekend.

Star veteran Andrew McLeod (knee) and All-Australian defender Nathan Bock have been ruled out of action this week, but Craig said he expected both players to be available for selection next week.

Utility James Sellar and midfielder Myke Cook will travel with the team as emergencies.

Fantastic news. Terrific to see Grif get up - especially since we're taking on Cox and Naitanui. Nice to see a settled side. Awesome to see Knights back in action in the sanfl too. He's the one big piece of the puzzle missing right now. Hope his injury ok and he can string together some solid for in the sanfl so he can puch his way back into the side. Missing his long bombs from 60 out big time:)

good news... hopefully we can carry the form over from last week...loving sloanes work more every week... im tipping armstrong to fire this week

I know I'm being selfish, but some Knights awesome at Subi would've been something to behold. Ah well, plenty of awesome lined up for the Cats.

It's official. Here's the team:
B: Johncock, Rutten, Stevens
HB:Doughty, Davis, Symes
C: Vince, Dangerfield, Sloane
HF: Henderson, Walker, van Berlo
F: Porplyzia, Tippett, Douglas
R: Maric, Thompson, Goodwin
Int: Reilly, Griffin, Armstrong, Jaensch.
Emerg: Cook, Gunston, Sellar

Unchanged.

Sellar replaces McKernan on the emergency list (and will travel with the team - presumably in case Griffin's ankle blows up again). Otherwise, all quiet on the western front.

Geez Bock is really starting to spend more time on the sidelines than in the team.

Good to see an unchanged lineup this week though.

I get the feeling they're thinking they've rushed him back too early a couple of times now, and don't want to make the same mistake again.

Great to see an unchanged line-up; I'm genuinely thrilled to see big Griff retain his spot, geez I hope he keeps it up, and I think he will!

I'm disappointed that Smack has dropped off the emergency list. I guess with the weather forecast he may not, and Sellar may not, travel over anyway.

But Sellar after a week off is more of a chance to play than Smack with some SANFL behind him?

Shows what the selectors think of McKernan's performances for the majority of the season.

I'm man-missing Knighta so much I might go and spectate in the sanfl, as long as he's not playing at the same time as the crows. Lately just happened to catch a couple of his last season's thousand-metre goals from inside the square on the run. Definitely looking for more Knights awesome.

WCE board has posted what is allegedly, their team for this week end. If what's posted is true and correct, the back six they've named is profoundly short on experience.

West Coast team:

West Coast
B: Will Schofield, Eric Mackenzie, Ashley Smith
HB: Beau Waters, Mitch Brown, Brad Sheppard
C: Matt Rosa, Matt Priddis, Andrew Embley
HF: Andrew Strijk, Quinten Lynch, Brad Ebert
F: Dean Cox, Josh Kennedy, Mark LeCras
Foll: Nic Naitanui, Chris Masten, Adam Selwood
I/C: Lewis Stevenson, Scott Selwood, Brett Jones, Ashton Hams
Emg: Ben McKinley, Koby Stevens, Callum Wilson

In: Mitch Brown, Ash Smith, Lewis Stevenson, Brett Jones, Ashton Hams
Out: Bradd Dalziell (finger), Beau Wilkes, Tom Swift, Pat McGinnity, Ben McKinley

That tosser Aiston is in form you know that Crow lover.

Just rolled his eyes swayed on his heels and declared Ryan Griffin fit to play for Adelaide against the Eagles

We should flog them. Subiaco or no Subiaco, that defence is all kids. I like the look of Sheppard though, wish he slid.

Very much so. The ground should not be able to dictate whether we play good or crap. Great chance to put these Subiaco blues in their place.

Wrong McKernan has been good the last 2 weeks. Griff is very likely to play so they are taking the player who's team has a bye (Sellar - Glenelg) so Shauny can get a game in for South. Otherwise he would of had no game and dont we all hate the travelling emergency who gets no game at all. If Griff was out im sure Mckernan would be playing.

Embley in the midfield? Check.

Lynch up forward? Check.

Cox named on the ground? Check.

We're gawn.

Did anyone have a bit of a lol when Colbert mentioned Mckernan might be a late in for Griffin?:o Seemed like to me that he knew what he was talking about until then.
