According to afl.com.au

GeelongB: Darren Milburn, Matthew Scarlett, Andrew Mackie
HB: Joel Corey, Harry Taylor, Josh Hunt
C: Jimmy Bartel, Corey Enright, Cameron Ling
HF: Max Rooke, Tom Lonergan, Ryan Gamble
F: Paul Chapman, Tom Hawkins, Steve Johnson
Foll: Brad Ottens, Joel Selwood, Gary Ablett
IC: Mark Blake, Shannon Byrnes, Dan McKenna, Travis Varcoe, David Wojcinski, Simon Hogan

Harley, Mooney, Stokes missing. First one is expected, second one throws up a lot of questions and the third one is sensible as he finished last year injured and has played all games to date. A bit disappointed Laidler was left out for McKenna but other than that it is a good side with those available.

No Tenace or D.Johnson , It would seem the selectors have finally decided that they are not in our best 30 odd players. About time !!

Should be 6 interchange + 2 subs though, so lets assume Mooney will only play a half. Looks like they are resting Kelly (he hasn't missed a game yet has he?)

If that is the 24 then that bench is built for speed, should be fun to watch.

To prove I've been paying a lot of attention during the NAB cup is it six interchange + two subs or 4 interchange + 2 subs? :o

EDIT: Already answered. So the subs will likely be two of those missing from Stokes/Mooney/Kelly (who I overlooked before).

Tenace makes way for Wojcinski, as expected.

DJ is an interesting one. You'd think with Harley still injured he'd still be in with a chance at early games. Perhaps he will be one of the two subs...

Said in the Geelong News yesterday DJ has a hamstring strain.

Pies are missing Fraser (rested), O'Brien (family leave), H. Shaw (injured) and Rocca (injured) from their best 18. They've brought Medhurst back for his first game of the year.

Very strong teams on the field for both sides - we're only missing Harley, Mooney and Kelly from our best team, too.

Stokes not in your best team?

I wouldn't exactly think that them missing Rocca puts them even remotely at a disadvantage.

Mooney not named as an emergency either, so I can't see him being down as a sub, which kinda worries me.

However I am quite pleased that Tenace was not named.

Cracker paper that one. I have mixed emotions about Tenace being out. For one, I've never had any confidence in him on the HBF and I'm one of his bigger critics. But on the back of that I haven't been disappointed with him the last two weeks.

His disposal looked better, he didn't seem to be panicking as much with the ball and he wasn't turning it over in the corridor.

But I prefer Woja in there and I'm glad some of the younger guys are getting a run for a big game.

Okay, so Stokes and Tenace will play. The GFC has it right, 26 players which includes two subs. Pretty much the team I expected although I thought Mooney would play.
