Hawks Changes:

IN: Boyle Hodge
OUT: Sewell Murphy

Hodge may well be a late change. Sewell is a big out for them. Boyle is an interesting one. I'm not sure how they'll structure it, but that gives them 3 talls + Williams in their forward line.

Who will tag for them now? This could free up our midfield a bit.

i wouldnt think they would need to worry about our midfeild too much..
who takes boyle?

if we have ryder on buddy, fletch on roughhead who takes boyle

mal would be ideal so maybe a late change?
otherwise maybe NLM will get the job or could pears be put up to the task?

Thought big mal could have come back to play on roughead. boyle coming back i think they will play boyle on one of the talls at some stage. Mcveigh could be freed up a bit, but i reckon we should give monfries a crack at one of the hawks mids and sit on them all day. It would be a learning experience for him, coz he is never going to be a samll (tagging or otherwise) forward in the long term in a team that has lovett, davey, jetta

Pears or Welsh.

Can Boyle play in the backline? Who have they got to go with McPhee?

I'd expect Boyle will play forward alongside Franklin, Roughead and Williams.

Their structure won't change a lot from last year, except for Williams filling the role of Ben Dixon in the box.

It'll be interesting to see how Williams goes, the box takes a lot of discipline to run to the right spots and take your opponent away from the contest. Ben Dixon was always a player willing to sacrifice for the team, Mark Williams less so.

A lose cannon in there and we could really take advantage.

As for McPhee's man, it could be Campbell Brown or Grant Birchall, or he might end up with Gilham or Croad depending on whether Hawthorn decide to give Campbell Brown the job on Lucas again.

I thought Mal would have been a definite in. We need his muscle in the side.

I can understood Laycock coming in. Welsh is lucky to be in the side and must have the same credits as Dyson.

I would have preferred to see Rama get a game as we need his pin point skills at the Dome.

Still looks a very competitive team to me and I reckon we can go real close.

Yeh i agree about Mal coming in. Instead of Laycock i reckon Bellchambers should come in...haven't heard of him lately is he injured or just not up to it yet? It could be a really interesting game...sure it could be a blow out but i also think it may be closer than people think..well hoping atleast :D

I would have liked to see Neagle come in, expose them for height in out forward line, although I suppose Laycock will do that too. We are playing into their hands by playing a smallish forward line. Neagle will atleast chase his man, Laycock wont budge.

He's also injured.
