I'm happy for the fittest and most in form to play

After last week and the previous, Wood has no form, so i wanted fraser in. He is skating on thin ice selection wise anyway i presume

Did suprise me too. Rumours of Fraser being on the outer has grown some legs

If Trav, Jack & Dawes cannot kick plus 10 goals this week b/w them competing against Maguire & Patfull, the 3 tall forward line will never work. They should have a field day.

Wouldn't want to make too many changes to a side which has been pretty bloody good over the course of a month, but you would have thought Wood would have warranted dropping for Fraser if Josh was fit. Although I was baying for Caff's bloody last week, but I'm guessing he is just keeping Med's spot warm.

The moron.

I would have preferred Nate on Brown, but Reid will do okay against a crippled Jonathon.

after the way the cows played last week i reckon you are right hellfire
or something slightly radical by harry o playing on him and running him up the ground and playing off him
brown is clearly struggling with a groin/hip and is struggling
adelaide put a smaller, quicker player on him and let him roam up the ground knowing he wouldn't have much impact
i can see that working for us

i reckon shaw will take buchanan and try to do the same and toovs is a no brainer for banfield

they are my thoughts anyway, which seem a bit simpler and more thoughtful than last friday nights brain explosion on my part

Has anyone noticed how many 'calf' injuries in recent weeks at Collingwood. What's wrong with saying omitted?

Does Medhurst play HBF now?

Most of the games since he has been back from when he first got dropped have been pretty good.

Kirby means he ****s us up structurally. I agree, but I don't think it matters against Brisbane all that much.

WTF is O'Bree still doing in the side.

If he pushes Pendles out of the middle again this week i'll friggin scream!

This.

Obree is simply depth for Pendlebury and Ball now. Pendlebury is our potential star midfielder, and we're forcing him onto a flank where he looks totally lost in order to accommodate an aging battler. OB has been a great servant of our club, but he has to be phased out in favour of letting our best midfielder play in the bloody midfield.

Observations:

N Brown can consider himself a bit unlucky.
JA back in is the biggest no-brainer since that chick had to decide whether elephants were bigger than the Moon.
Rusty will probably reprise his role against North Melbourne as a small forward.

O'Bree is very fortunate to keep his spot and I echo the sentiments of those who don't want him to **** up our structure.
Wood needs to harden the **** up because he won't be gifted that many more chances.
MacAffer should be told if he misses any set shots from inside 40m and 45 degrees, he's walking home.

You can't ask the question "Why is O'Bree" in the side, we all the know the answer.

MM gave that away when he finally dropped him earlier in the year, then said something like "That was one of the hardest decisions I ever had to make".

I thought at the time;

WHAT THE ****.

Dropping an aging, out of form, underperforming player is a tough decision, damn, coaching must be easy if that's one of the toughest decisions he has made.

Anyway, when Leon, Dick and Meds return, BYE BYE O'BREE.

The good news is, after this week, O'Bree only needs 4 more games to 250, then it's thank you and good bye.

Ahhhhh the mysterious calf injury strikes again!! It's amazing how many players who look like they need a rest or are on the verge of getting dropped succumb to this injury!

I think we are all been very harsh on Leon. In terms of the key areas which don't rank up there on the stats sheet...he has been very good. He probably needs a rest, but he is still a vital component to our team.

On O'Bree. I agree he should be dropped. But the one thing I'll give him is that he is the best player on the road. It's like he lifts a gear. And he played for Brisbane originally so know Queensland.

He looks quicker interstate. He was fantastic against Freo...and always dominates in Adelaide.

In fact, I'd use him purely as an interstate player from now on. Whenever we travel, he should play.

Agree re Pendlebury and I made mention of it in my preview. He needs more time on the ball as he is a great extractor.

However, with Ball and Swan suffering slight knee injuries, they will have to be managed up to the split round. So perhaps O'Bree and Pendlebury can take the bulk of the midfield work, and Swan and Ball can be the rotations.
