Well JVB has been consistent in the WAFL so Lyon is being true to his word and rewarding form, Roberton was the standout performer before that.

Be very interesting to see if SNOS makes the cut and if he does who misses out (please Dawson...) and where he plays (forward or back).

Each to his own but I think for a frsit game in Roberton played very well against GC and allowed Broughton into the midfield to cover for Fyfe and Broughton did some good work with his delivery into the forward line. Neale has shown some glimpses but has still not played as well as he showed in the pre-season yet - others think he is going great so maybe I am missing a lot of 1% stuff.....

On a side note, wasn't D.Swallow meant to be injured for two weeks. I would be in a rage if Broughton wasn't let off given the prosecution used this as part of their argument.

Anybody who thinks Dawson will be dropped on current form needs to hand Benny back the crack pipe & step away from the keyboard.
He is still No 1 or 2 in 1%ers and that is something all coaches love. He is clearly a favourite of Ross, and is actually playing pretty well.
Silvagni is a good player, but he is not the silver bullet who will be the missing link in the team that makes us go on an undefeated winning streak.

No but he is better than Dawson.

But that can't be proved if he can't get an oportunity to prove himself.

Agree.

When he has impact playing forward it might at least come close...

Neale's roving at full tilt followed by a handball to Griffin I think, which resulted in a Clarke mark & goal was my highlight of the game. He looks like he will be "the goods", but I do agree that he is yet to really "crack it" like I believe he will.

I certainly hope Roberton survives the cut & I have never been a fan of his in the past. He just seems a smart cookie in my eyes.

From what i've watched so far of the GC game I was quite impressed with Roberton's tackling intensity and ability to shake a tackle or 2. I very much hope he's given an extended chance to show his wares while he's currently in the side.

I think Ross has been consistent in his approach - respect for a solid pre season and reward for WAFL form. This stands Neale and Roberton in good stead and suggests Crozier is close.

I'd agree with that. Neal may even get a rest for JVB even though I think Neal is/will be the better player, I can see Ross resting him at some point and he may do it this weekend.

Roberton was up and down last week but fundamentally got the job done first game back. Ross obviously rates him so I'm happy to go with that.

Having said that, I'd say the only likely change would be 211 for Clarke who, if not 100%, shouldn't be risked.

You're quite right - your point can't be proved. so why make a statement you can't back up

I reckon this may be how the team lines up

Thinking about JVB... im not a fan at all, but i just wonder if lyon sees a bit of steven baker in him (without the mongrel) if thats the case, he may get a gig
