I’ve worked in a few different organisations and government departments as a social worker and at one particular place, people would keep a list of all the ridiculous names they came across. My all-time favourite was a family that had 4 children and they named the first 3: Midnight, Moonlight, Shadow and the last child (who I can only assume was named after a fairly big change in the parents’ lifestyle) was named … Anthony. Poor bugger.

Also, in a recent job we were a referred a young girl whose given name was (all one word) Shaniatwain. Oh dear.
