On behalf of all of the Collingwood supporters on www.bigfooty.com I would like to thank the Melbourne Football Club for trading the services of Shane Woewodin to the Collingwood Football Club for season 2003 and beyond.

Huzzah!

No thank you, for taking some of his over-inflated salary off our hands!

See ya on Queens Birthday!

"Some" being the word, you are still paying around 75% of his salary.

I will see you on Queens Birthday if I can get in! :(

Hahaha, 75% where did you get that crap.
We are paying a marketing clause of his contract (not his playing contract) which is less than 50k, slightly under 75%

No, thankyou. Trust me, he will put in plenty of shockers. As if he wouldn't fire up for his first game.

Both teams won on the weekend, so nothing has been lost at Demonland.

HOggy

I for one was disappointed in seeing Woey go....and club stuffed up! Simple as that......and Collingwood now has a loyal servant.....unlike many players now and sometimes that accounts for a lot.

Doesn't anyone know what really happened over that deal....Woey got kicked in the guts.

We haven't 'turned' on him, have been saying the same thing for the last 2 years. Just because our comments on him are noticed now that he has in fact left does not mean we have turned on him.
He has been dissapointing since 2000, fact. He was over-paid, and it was either him or a player worth their salary.

The reason I have turned on him is because I am sick of hearing him bag Melbourne. Sure he has every right to be ****ed, but his taking it to far and needs to move on. This said I do hope he goes well at Collingwood

How did he set himself up?

Poor bloke got thrown out of the club he loved. I for one (as I've said many a time) am truly sorry Collingwood have nabbed him... he will be missed this year... that team on sunday didn't look the same.

I was extremerly ****ed off on friday night, watching him carve up the tigers. Worst part about it all is that he can't forgive the coaching staff for what happened, I don't know if Neale had anything to do with the chop, but regardless, I should hope woey can forgive him in time.

Oh of course, your version of events must be 100% accurate.

Yes, spare me. Two sides to every story I've heard both & am guessing the truth's somewhere in between.

I'm sick of it!

The horse has well & truly bolted! All the arguing in the world won't bring him back.

Shane served us well, but he plays for Collingwood now & that makes him the enemy! ;)

Indeed, and I'm DEFINATELY going to be down for the Queens B'day clashs so can everyone let me know (closer to the time) if they are going and I'll try and arrange a get together thing. I don't know any of you but I'd like to. After all, we are all family... right? ;)

Drinking is always required! :D

But it would be great to have you down here mate, would be good to meet you and it would be good for you to meet the unruly mob that is the Dees board! There might even be an aftermatch too!
