Thankyou for getting us to our first ever final. Our first ever final win. You broke records galore at Fremantle. Greatest ever winning streak etc. etc.

Once again. Thankyou CC

Thankyou CC for at least making us a half decent side.

Went from being just happy to win a game to expecting success in just two years.

The only coach to take us to finishing higher than twelth on the ladder.

The only coach to take us to finals to winning a final and to getting the team to win more than two games in a row for the first time ever. And having winning streaks of 4-5 matches since in a season has become a norm.

Deserve a lot of credit for what you did achieve to date.

Not just the coaching job he had done, its the off-field stuff as well. He has built the membership up on the back of his work off the field.
Is the most influential person to ever be invovled with this football club. Hopefully there is some rousing tribute to him sometime in the near future. Thank you and good bye Chris.

Too right! Won every second derby as well.

The club has been left in far better shape than when He arrived.

It is a shame it's not a home game this week

My biggest thanks to CC is giving the club a positive spin coming out of its darkest days. The guy is one of the nicest blokes you would ever meet (too nice to be involved in footy at the top level) and I will always have a soft spot for him for giving his all to this club despite the constant snipes from the media.

Chris you will never be forgot down at Fremantle :thumbsu:

Thanks for the good times Connolly.

CC you dragged us out of the doldrums. You gave us hope and delivered what no other coach had or could. You built a list, you built a membership and you built dreams.

Thank you for the good times friend. You will always be remembered as the one who turned us around and earnt us respect.

The King is dead. Long live the Dockers.

Cheers Chris, great bloke and has helped this club more than most realise

will be missed :(

Aww geez - why do I feel like crying? :o

What a high quailty human being is Chris Connolly. Always maintained a sense of humour and carried himself with dignity. And now he has made the ultimate personal sacrifice to put the club before himself. Congratulations Chris - you can look yourself in the mirror and know that your personal traits of honesty and integrity will always be with you - long after the Fremantle Football Club is not.

Thanks for all the great things you did for our club, but the time was right, and like the good bloke you are, you recognised that and acted on it. You will long be remembered at Freo.

Best of luck Connols - you deserve it. :thumbsu:

Thanks for everything Chris - All your hard work and effort the past 6 years.

You are responsible for really turning the place around.

Good luck in whatever you turn your hand to next :)

Well put.

Still think some of the players will struggle to look him squarely in the eyes. The buck now rests squarely at the players feet, what can they make of the season ?.

I bet he has already signed a media deal to take him through the finals period, he will be a breath of fresh air on TV / radio.

Great coach who helped build the purple army's expectations. Winning 5 derbies in a row against West Coast in all competitions from start of 2006 makes us proud. Exciting, passionate football last year and parts of this year. Great sense of humour and humility. Had every right to slag off some of the media scum over here but resisted, class to the end.:thumbsu:

Best of luck mate.

Well done Chris on your time at Fremantle. It was always going to be a tough job with the high expectations and vision for the future the club had. As coaches of Fremantle go, you would have done the best job so far in regard to match day and club marketing.( nothing against previous coaches )
As a member/supporter of WCE I must say you brought a different level to the derby's and made them a lot tougher to win.
Good luck for the future, take a year off relax with your family and I am sure you will have much to offer an AFL club in the future, when you are ready.:thumbsu:

Thank you very much CC he was my favourite coach in the AFL and can't wait for his finals commentary hopefully with Ten not 7:thumbsd:

But seriously shame on the players and shame on Rick Hart especially the players, they cost CC a job and have nothing to show for being finals's contenders

ohh well lets just tank for Masten we could do a lot worse than finish 9 or 10th and have a so so draft pick

This is the worst football day of the year for me, Good luck to CC and let the clean out begin starting with Macca (get the **** out of there with your heart and soul stuff but no skill level and can't run out of sight

Thanks Chris for your efforts over the last six years. You came to our club when we were in the pits of despair and you gave us hope.

You were always willing to put the club first and were instrumental in turning the club around on and off the field. That you will be remembered and highly respected for.

Today you chose to again put our club first and you should be commended for that.

Thanks mate and I hope you find success at Melbourne or whatever ventures you undertake, Cheers Chris !

thanks CC

for your humour & patience all the times when everyone was out to get you

coaching at any level is a thankless task & so much can depend on events outside one's control - getting to the top is just as much about luck as skill

hope you and your family remember the good times here

Anyone who heard CC's press conference will know that here is a man of integrity, passion for the purple, and dignity.

CC: I was calling for you to resign BEFORE the Kangaroos loss, and now you've done it. As always, you have put Fremantle FC first. An absolute class act that will be hard to follow. Something went terribly wrong this year, and you've copped it in the neck as a result.

I really hope you get that job at Melbourne.:thumbsu:
