I didn't call you a silly.

I called you a ****, ****.
Hahaha yeah I got that mate.

Serious thought though on Wenger and perhaps moving him on. Is it 8 years without a trophy now? If you push a decade, that simply isnt good enough for a club like Arsenal.

He should have gone a while back. He is comfortable and happy finishing third or fourth, as are the board. As long as he is lining the boards pockets, he will not be sacked. It's the whole if you can't win, don't try mentality. We are never going to win things with the singings we make, to compete in today's game you need to spend big and Arsenal simply don't do that cos Wenger is too frugal.

He keeps going on about FFP but it's not going to make any difference. Chelsea or City will not be reprimanded/penalised for their large spending but Wenger holds on to the fact that if we spend what we make it will all be okay and the world will keep spinning, while we are "winning" a "trophy" in coming third or fourth place.

Things nearly went arse up last season after the 8-2 and he actually dipped his feet into the water and acquired Arteta - who was a brilliant signing. We did not lose a game with him playing and only won one without him playing I think. Yes it wasn't a big name but he had vast EPL experience and he is mature.

Wenger should have been going after Hazard etc but, due to Arsenal not being competitive, they can't really. Players want to win trophies, and clearly we are in a drought. It's been far too long and something needs to be done about it. The first step is getting rid of Wenger.

Hopefully he can save his job with 8th and the League Cup.

Im an LFC supporter but i have huge respect for arsenal.
They do things the right way unfortunate that they havent won much the last few yrs but i expect them to soon.
Let me tell you that if Arsene leaves AFC tmrw as an LFC supporter i hope we sign him up tmrw, one of the best managers in the world.

Would make a far better DoF than LVG

nah still good enough to be a manager.
Big mistake i think was not taking up the offer to manager Real a few yrs ago.
With the players they have and the transfer funds available and his style of football, couldve ended up seeing something special.

He wouldn't have spent much at Real.
i disagree.
he has alot of pressure put on him by the AFC board to limit his spending, at REAL he wouldnt have this pressure.

Anyway what he has done at AFC has been brilliant deserves alot of credit, best run club in the EPL

Very honest and I agree with it all. I know CL is great and been out of the comp for 3 years now is annoying and I hope to get back into it ASAP. But winning the Carling Cup last year was great. Obviously the aim is to play CL and win trophies but if we cant get top 4 im glad we won a trophy, almost two trophies. We had a mini drought too since the 06 FA Cup so im very happy we were able to open up the trophy cabinet and put another one locked away.

Surely he cant last much longer without winning something.

i think that if the arsenal board decided to run arsenal like a football club and not like a business arsene would be spending 30-40 mil a season, possibly more based on success. that's what's held them back for the last 7-8 years.

The owners just want money lacing their pockets, they couldn't give two shits about the fans, as long as they are making money, they're winning.

We have only 150m left to pay of the stadium, not much really considering we've only been there for six years.

debt doesnt mean that much anyways. united are 400+ mil in "debt" yet are still going to probably spend 30-40 mil this window (offset by sales of course.) the money is definitely there in the coffers for arsene, he's just not allowed to use it.

probably a bit of both. there could be a sense of not agreeing with how much players are worth in comparison to the past, he just might not think that guys like hazard and co are worth shelling out the money for. the difference between city and arsenal and other clubs is that if we make a big signing who doesn't work out, it's probably not that bad. for other clubs, the gap is much smaller. if arsenal had spent 18 mil on jo or roque santa cruz or something like that, it would impact them a lot harder, and there would be quite a bit of backlash from the fans. so there probably is that sense of trepidation in big money purchases.

Thats because the club is managed very well and Arsene doesnt spend like a mad man.
The quicker they pay off the debt the better they will be as they wont have to pay interest.
And with FFP coming in, Aresnal should be a powerhouse in the future

Ive heard Utd are closer to 1 billion in debt. Scary.

It's great being on the board for Arsenal, it's a fantastic money spinner

If they get like M'Vila and some actual defenders, then they can challenge.
Koscielny would walk into your side. So would Sagna.

True story.
