Pogba is a twat, but a talented twat. probably would've gotten a decent chunk of game time next season but he wanted to prove a point maybe?

RUmour that Fellaini (not sure how to spell it) could move to a bigger club

Not sure if Asamoah will play in england this year or not, he said he might leave but he will probably play for another Italian club

Arshavin won't be playing for Arsenal again, will probably sign for Russian club

Really hope Van Persie doesn't leave Arsenal

Anybody know if Maicon is going to sign with PSG or another club in general?

Also, does anybody know how much Spurs are likely to ask in return for Modric?

pogba deserved game time, didnt get it and is now leaving for a club where he's likely to get some. simple really. united will get some form of compo i presume

fellaini has been the cornerstone of everton for several years and would be very hard to replace him. if both he and baines leave, moyes will be hard pressed to replace them, but will, he always does.

asamoah and juve are in advanced talks apparently.

arshavin likely to be at zenit. he's apparently having talks with arsenal after the euro's, and if arsenal dont want him (i presume they wont) zenit will sign him

van persie looks more and more likely to move with each non committal day. us or juve imo.

apparently maicon has said he wants to go back to brazil (cruziero specifically) but he still has good european years left in him. however, his age, coupled with wages and inter's rather poor situation, he may be pushed into a move abroad. psg would be in for him big time.

spurs would still be asking about 35 - 40 mil like they were last season. levy doesnt budge on prices.

Utd have no money. No way they splash that much on one player.
We offered 32million for Hazard so your logic doesn't add up.

Pogba could be put out on loan when he signs for Juventus.
Modric can be bought for 25-30million. Our first offer will be for 25mill

Ummm yeah the fact that we were in advanced stages of signing Hazard. Why would we make an offer to the player if we weren't willing to pay the buy out clause.o_O
Seemed to me United were never an option?? So I doubt you were ever going to fork out 32 million for him. You were however probably pretending to be interested to keep up appearances.

:rolleyes:Yeah mate that's it. It was City that pulled out. We made offer to club and player to keep up appearances. Beside the fact that if Chelsea didn't win the CL he would have signed for us.

I guess we can't all afford to pay 35million on players of Carroll's calibre.

Pretty sure he said it himself. And kyle is right, they were in advanced talks with Hazard.

How is it a burn? I didnt personally sign Carroll for 35 million. Pretty sure Hazard said he was going to be wearing blue next season meaning City or Chelsea. United were never in the hunt. Cant afford him.

Hazard also said that Tottenham interested him. A lot of he's comments were just that "comments".
He accepted personal terms from City, Utd and Chelsea. Lille accepted bids from Utd and Chelsea, I believe City had pulled out at this stage due to the demands that he wanted first team opportunities.

To think United weren't willing to pay over 30million for him is stupid.

L'Equipe claims United have been 'very hot' on the trail of Sao Paulo midfielder Lucas Moura. The Brazil international has a number of admirers with Chelsea and Real Madrid also reportedly keen on bringing him to Europe.

For mine Lucas is a superb young talent but I think the outcome would be more like Neymar's. Would be unlikely to move until after the WC in Brazil. Also the price tag would be horrendous for such a young player.

It was between Chelsea and City was it?

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/jun/04/eden-hazard-chelsea-first-team

Eden Hazard says that he chose Chelsea over Manchester United because he felt he had a better chance to establish himself in the first team at Stamford Bridge

The manner in which Chelsea made him feel central to their plans, though, tipped the balance. "There was a struggle between Chelsea and United but, for me, Chelsea has the best project," Hazard said. "The team is young and I have a better chance to play there. At 21, Real or Barça would have been more difficult for me. If I play well enough at Chelsea, I could win my place in the starting team. When they won the Champions League, I told myself: 'Why not Chelsea?'"

Had hazard signed for man U they wouldn't need to worry about how much he cost as if he develops right then his sell on fee would get double that. Modric on the other hand value won't go up by much maybe 5 mil but thats about it. So i can see where jod is coming from.

in the end it was because we pulled out pretty early on due to his ridiculous demands. we dont need to sign players with high wages anymore, they should be willing to come here because of what we're building towards. so he wasnt going to get 200k a week, plus 6 mil signing on, fees for his agent plus a house. united can still afford stuff like 30 mil transfers, but only once a season. well, i guess that applies to most teams now with ffp.

United have apparently agreed a 4year deal with Modric for about 125k a week. We will pay 25million which could rise to 30mill.

Also apparently done a deal with Universidad de Chile for 18yo striker Angelo Henriquez for about 4million. Will be loaned straight out until he gets a international cap. Highly sought after.

isnt that from the sun? yeah that's not true. modric isnt moving for less than 40. obviously skyped the deal from poland/ukraine then :D

plus honestly i dont think he's that good. very, very up and down. was very ordinary last season.
