Martin often is played as a loose man in defence as well as through the midfield and wings. He's Younie's Mr Fixit is my impression.

in other words Walsh told Younie that Martin isn't in line for selection in any role at AFL level, so do what you want with him.

Like most people I agree that Knight looked good today. Him and Kerridge looked a grade above. O'Brien and Siggins seem to be developing well. No one else really worth mentioning.

Kerridge was pretty average…looked like a guy trying almost too hard with ball in hand. I'd make a 'Charlie' call on him and back in his talent and select him next week…drop a plodder.

Knight looked great…geez we could do with his gut running…a power runner who can play footy, I'm sure we can find someone to drop when Knight has his mandatory 2 games. Sure he won't come in to AFL and dominate but you don't get to 50 games without playing the first 49!
