There is a narrative out there that Eddie is torn about what to do but the man actually doing the review, Walsh, believes Bucks should stay.

How do you know that Walsh has recommend Bucks stay?

Assuming there is some truth in that narrative - there's a large part of our problem "Eddie is torn" - it should not be Emperor Ed's decision alone -must be a Board decision based on appropriate input - quite amusing (?) to have a review into governance while the Emperor announces he's the only one with any visibility into Buckley's future

I'll just create a 400 page thread of me modelling.. eating protein shakes.. lifting weights.. me with my hotted up Gemi and 8ks worth of subwoofer mate.
G-banger heaven! Sounds Divine darling! How do you "eat" a protein shake. I wanna see you do that.

Is that a promise or a threat?

Just a narrative from a few people. Not sure the purpose of the narrative nor who it suits.

One comment i will make is Jon Ralph is now going with it so i would doubt the verasity of it. Not much he says hasmuch substance.

If there's any truth in potential coaches sounding us out then I get the feeling Bucks is gone. Keeping him on would mean we are backing ourselves into a corner really. Even if it's a 2 year deal finals next year will truly be non-negotiable.

However you bring in a new coach such as a Dew there would be more wriggle room I imagine.

That is why I was saying in the 1st place, it sounded like you were suggesting that development does not exist and the cattle is what you have and no improvement. You did say "it's all about the cattle as saintly says. Leigh Mathews has said this"

Hence my debating this with this you

But you're trying to suggest that an "all about the cattle" argument doesn't incorporate even natural progression of the cattle which is just illogical. Still the same cattle even if they are developed.

I guess you enjoy taking your holidays in September huh?

Don't necessarily enjoy it but seem to all too often. Watched the 2002 GF in a pub somewhere between Alice Springs and Darwin as we were heading north fishing, watched the 2003 GF in Margaret River, watched the 2007 finals series (or tried to) while touring Canada, watched/listened to the 2012 finals series in Ireland and Scotland. Just unfortunate that finals is generally on the shoulder for OS trips and in the build-up to the wet up North.

No mention of 2010 there, assume you were here for that!

So it looks more and more likely Bucks will get an extension - ah well at some point the club will have an epiphany and change things up. It is impossible for the club to stay much longer in mediocrity it's just not accepted at Collingwood. Next year or the year after a change will happen or at least be looked at at board level.

Some are looking at the richmond situation and hanging their hat on we'll do the sameo_O I'd call that desperation, we are and have been in completely different universes! that is blind hope at best. I think Dimma has squeezed all he could out of that list previous to this year, now with Nankervis, Caddy, Prestia, Rioli and co. playing out of their collective skin they're in the conversation - good development.

Externally it does not look like our FD can achieve the same, god I hope I'm wrong. I'd look at cleaning out the coaching panel and leave bucks, but there is reasonable argument to say he is too stubborn - if that is true then no amount changes elsewhere will improve our situation.

one blake caracella is the missing link

doing what they did at richmond is pointless as bucks is a stubborn ass and wont listeb to anyone. Doesnt have it in him to humble himself like dimma has
